We holiday in Suffolk every year, have done for 20 years. We discovered the Eels Foot about 18 years ago. Since then it hasn't changed, and the food is still as good as ever. A charming olde world bar where time seems to have stood still. Service, beer and food always pleasurable.

Really worth the bike ride from Aldeburgh to this pub on bank holiday monday. The pub was heaving but soon managed to get a table. Good choice of beers. Made the selection of the Ploughmans with Ham and Blue Cheese - excellent. The quality of the ham and bread were excellent. Want to try the Welsh Rarebit next visit. Also,...

Very welcome lunch time stop on our walk around Minsmere. Super selection of Adnams beers and excellent food (we had sandwiches) served quickly in spite of being very busy for Sunday lunchtime. There is a children's play area and plenty of outside seating in the garden. Would certainly recommend.

You can't book for dinner - but we've never had a problem getting fed. Lively atmosphere, with a mix of locals and holiday makers. Swift service; attentive, but not in your face. All you need for a great, relaxed evening with friends.

Great place to stay for Minsmere which is right on the doorstep and easily walkable. Food is excellent both the breakfasts and the dinner menu and rooms are lovely. Everyone was very helpful. Will be returning.

Just spent the weekend at The Eels Foot Inn, with friends what can I say that hasn't already been said from the very warm welcome, to the large airy rooms, the plenty of choice of food for meat eaters and vegetarians alike. The portions are large and the two nights that we stayed I never once finished a meal but...

We have visited the Eels Foot a few times in the past and as we are vegan only had the option of chips and salad. Well what an amazing surprise when we visited last week to see a new chef who knows his vegan options! We had mushroom gnocchi on a bed of wilted spinach with the most delicious arrabbiata...

After a morning watching birds at the Minsmere nature reserve, I called in at the Eels Foot Inn for a restorative pint and a bite to eat. The pint of Adnams hit the spot and the 'french-style' steak and chips was really good. I'll be back...

Had a circular walk that took us up through Minsmere RSPB, heathland and coast. The Eels Foot Inn was the start and finish so perfect for leaving the car at. After the walk, sat in the garden for a well earned pint of Adnams beer then adjourned inside for some great pub grub. The burger was amazing as was the...

After a long walk bird watching this was a well positioned place in which to have a relaxing lunch. There was a very varied menu and the food was mid-price range. The food was tasty - I ordered welsh rarebit and smoked haddock together with a perfectly cooked egg. The egg was delicious and was cooked in a complete sphere...
