What a delightful b&b, lovely welcome, comfortable accommodation and delicious rock cakes with your tea! Breakfast early but superb choice, served with a smile. Sad that current owners are moving on, hope the new owners continue b&b at the high level already set!
We spent a night at this delightful bed and breakfast. the host were very warm and welcoming as was the room.the breakfast was excellent with plenty on offer. They could not do enough to make sure we had all we wanted and we would certainly return if we need a stay in this neck of the country again.
Had a two night stay here. Lovely room, friendly service from Ros and John and dog friendly. The breakfast was excellent and not greasy. A lovely touch was the cake left in our room which was most welcome after a long day out.
Nice B&B set in a quiet location, nice welcome by the owner. It's a lovely old style cottage with decor reflecting such. It's not ultra modern, it does have quirks etc within it's walls, but it's clean, the room has all you need. Comfortable bed, tv, homemade cake! It's about 15 minute drive into Exeter, 10 minute walk to the pub. Breakfast was good, although it's served on a communal table, rather than individual tables for each guests, but all was good. Nice place.
Heath Gardens is everything a B&B should be. Set in a lovely location and easy to find. A thatched cottage that is beautifully maintained a credit to its owners. We arrived after a good five hour journey and was greeted by the very friendly hostess. Nothing too much trouble. Come and go as you please. The room was very clean and welcoming. A super comfy bed that will ensure a good nights sleep. No traffic noise ( or none that I heard as I was fast asleep :-)) Everything in the room was functional and didn't really need anything else that a 4 or 5 star hotel can offer. Oh what the big hotels do not offer is home baked cakes that were delicious and a much needed sugar boost after our arduous journey The breakfast room was functional and appealing. As I was attending a business meeting early in the morning we opted for a light toast and fresh fruit breakfast. The fruit was very fresh and a good mix of local and exotic. I am sure the cook breakfast, had we had time, would have been equally satisfying and cooked to perfection Would I stay there again? Yes without hesitation and would certainly advise anybody travelling to this location to give the big hotels a miss and stay in this homely bed and breakfast. You will not regret it…
