A spacious resort, directly on a clean beach. We had a cabin for two which was big enough and had all you need. Clean bathroom with shower. The curtains are a bit thin, you will have the light in the morning. There is wi-fi, but it happened not to work that night, just outside the cabin it was fine and fast.
The pool is big enough and deep (1.60 m) and the beach area wide. The beach itself is clean and there are many flat-beds to relax.
The restaurant has nice seating at the beach side and a large menu with lots of seafood. The price is very good, as was the bottle of white Napa Valley wine for only 700 (very cheap in Thailand).
Breakfast is a buffet with many choices.
Value for money is very good.

The resort has a number of bungalows in different dimensions, ranging from a 2-person to an oversized family. We stayed in a standard 2 person and were very satisfied; clean and everything you need in working order. The grounds are very nice, luscious green all over, and are very well maintained. Very clean pool and easy access to the (private) beach. Staff is very friendly and speaks basic English. Restaurant provides breakfast buffet only when enough customers are present (in our case that was from Fri-Sun, when people from Bangkok drove over for a weekend break). Other days, you just get standard set breakfast choice. Dinner is "a la carte", but they also provided for special requests; evidently to be ordered one day ahead. Normal prices. WiFi was ok. As mentioned in other reviews, it is best to have your own transport. There were some bikes (free of use) at the reception, but they were not in a very good shape. Motorbike rent on demand (250THB/day). We found the place outstanding ! Recommended.

I went to this resort with my family last November. There is a swimming pool. and next to the sea There is a buffet breakfast, which includes boiled rice, fried rice, omelettes, etc. The night air here is very pleasant for a walk. There was a gentle wind blowing from the sea. cool weather As for the room, it's very clean. There is a cool air conditioner to sleep comfortably. spacious room The bathroom has a water heater. There is good privacy here. And I really like the ice cream here. especially the strawberry flavor It's sweet and has a bit of strawberry flesh. It's delicious. If there is a chance, I will visit again.

This is a worn and decrepit resort which has seen better days. The bathroom walls are stained and tiles have mold while the water temp is luke warm at best. The wifi is also spotty and unreliable. They don't provide a bed cover to the bed itself and when you ask for a blanket they simply give you more sheets. Apparently, their business strategy is low prices per room because the hotel was absolutely packed to the point that I could not find a parking space for my car. The only saving grace for my experience was an extremely helpful security guard who went out of his way to find a private parking space in the employee area. Besides this, I feel lucky we stayed here only 1 night.

If you are looking for peace and quiet away from the tourist hustle and bustle with a dream beach, good food and friendly, helpful staff, then this is the place for you. The bungalows are functional, big enough and clean. The complex is very well maintained. The food in the restaurant is a bit more expensive than the street food, but guests' special requests, e.g. regarding the spiciness of the spices, are happily taken into account and the food tastes excellent. We would love to come back!

Not a very pleasurable experience especially after a 5 hr drive to get there. Reception was unfriendly and you were made to feel like you were unwelcome from the start. Room was Dusty, not aired out and very plain and simple. Rooster starting at 1 am and dogs barking at cats from 5.30am. Worst night sleep. Dinner and Breakfast was super average and my Wife and I ended up with a stomach bug from the Dinner. We would have had a better meal from 7/11. Would we go again ? No thankyou

Those who come to the Ban Krut/Bang Saphan area are likely the ones who seek outside the mainstream tourism. What you normally get in this area, is good beaches, tranquility in weekdays and authentic Thai tourism during weekends.
The northern part of Ban Krut, where Bayview is situated is the only place where the resorts are directly situated on the beach. Being so quiet, it means you can sit and hear the swells - to some of us a therapy good as it gets.
The beach itself is also very good - though the waves hit directly on the beach so some days it can be a bit rough getting out - even for adults.
It then comes handy with a pool that is 20 metres from the sea.
Bayview seems on first eyesight to be a fairly OK place to stay. What sets it apart are;
A small playground for the children.
A childrens pool, and also a good pool when compared to competetitors.
Well-kept grounds and hammocks hanged in a lot of the casuarina trees on the beach.
And last but not least - an atmosphere of heartfelt hospitality that really sets it apart from the pack, a few examples;
When we booked it was only for a couple of days. If we were to stay for a longer period, we had to change room. As hosts, they wanted us to see the room and advised us not to take it - it was risk of being noisy as an arriving party in the building might give some noise. They phoned around, and found another resort to stay in.
When arriving late with tired children - having someone that helps you to the door and stashing luggage and not only tossing you a key, setting up a cup of tea, having put up an extra bed without being asked "we think it is better for you".

We only wanted to Go-through and stayed for a few days. Not only because of maybe the most beautiful temple around the corner, but because of a very nice place to stay.

A "must-go" if you travel with kids. We have 2 (4 and 1 year old). The owners (who live partly in Denmark, partly in Thailand) have Children too. So there is everything for children. And I mean everything (walking-bikes, bikes with supporting wheels, small bikes, big bikes, hula-hups, little buldozers for the sand and bucekts, shovels... )
There is a small playground (with european safetystandard!) and of course lots of sand.

The beach is part of the property and only 1,5 m away from the spotless pool. The later has a shallow part (for the children) and a deeper end (for swimming)

the Bugalows are okay. Nothing special.
But the service is extremly friendly. The staff care about the children as if it were their own. The first time we had tears from our daughter when we left (and we left a lot of places on our trip)

Although this part of Thailand is more for the Thais, there is a few things to do. Especialy the Temple which is beautifully set at the end of the beach.
Paddle there with one of the Kajas they have for free (Sit 3 Adults!)

On Friday night the Temple is lit. A must see

The Beach is clean, but as for almost everywhere in Thailand not white sand, but yellow (normal) Sand.

If you are a couple and want peace and quit, this is where you find it. Not on weekends though. This is when richer Bangkok-Thais move in. Their party (and this goes for all parties) must stop at 00h00. No worries, you will definately be invited if you want to.

Thailand is very child-friendly, but this was the most friendly place we had so far (we still have 2 months to go)

Must-Go if you have children, but do not stay much longer then 3-4 days, because besides the temple, the pool and the beach, there is not much more going on.
From here we travelled on to Cha Am (approx 150 km north) where we stayed at the Eurasia Lagoon Resort.

This was our second stay at Bayview. It is the most beautiful place you will ever experience. Do not even think about coming here if you want any nightlife or shopping..... Don't come if you cannot stand the noise of gentle waves on the beach, squirrels chatting in the trees, birds chirping most of the day. It is incredible that a place such of this still exists. The little old township is like something out of wild west movies, there is a train station but the Bus only goes by the main road 9-10 kms away. There are a few resorts on Ban Krut Beach, about 1 km from the town, however Bayview & a couple of others are about 5kms from the town. Motorbike Taxi is 40bht to get here, the resort consists of 40 odd Bungalows in the most beautiful leafy setting. You will be greeted by the lovely friendly staff & shown to your Bungalow. They are very clean, comfy beds, good shower & everything you would need however, very little time is spent in the rooms as the surrounds are too beautiful not to enjoy. The beach is at your doorstep, is swept every day so very clean & the sea is lovely to swim in along with the beautiful large clean swimming pool. There is 5kms or so of beach here & most times you can enjoy a walk with no other person in sight. There are several deck chairs, hammocks & sunbeds under the beautiful pine trees which line the resort. Breakfast was included & although nothing much else around to dine, their restaurant has great mainly Thai food & very cheap. There are free bicycles to ride in & out of the town & very easy as it is all flat, a visit to the temple & Gold Buddha on the hill is a must. (Motorbikes are also available to rent) We were taken to the train station by the staff & presented with sandwiches & water the first visit & this time it was fruit & water which was such a lovely gesture. This resort has mainly Local guests but we will definately be back. It was very hard for me to write such a good review as I would rather nobody else know about Thailands Best kept secret !

Located out of the way of an out of the way town (easily accessible by train or car) Bayview is an excellent resort. If you like ocean, it's right there. If you like swimming in a pool there's a lovely pool there. If you enjoy food, the restaurant is excellent. The staff are extremely helpful and go above and beyond to help out guests.
The town of Bankrut is a 5 minute scooter ride away with several Western options and Thai as well.
I've been twice and enjoyed myself both times.
