Detailed Reviews

Stayed in room 22 one of the newly renovated ground floor rooms. The room was large and clean with newly renovated bathroom, bed was comfortable with full air-conditioning and ceiling fan. Polished concrete floors seemed a bit stark but very practical in a beach side location with lots of sandy little feet. There was hanging space on wall above bag area though a wardrobe may be an improvement. View from front verandah of lake and bridge and located next to clean well kept pool area. Motel is centrally located with short walk to Forster, cafes, club and restaurants. Lana and Dean were great hosts and gave us a great 4 night weekday stay rate.

A truly delightful place to stay! Location is just fabulous and really appreciated the easy walk to Woolworths and being across the road from a park and beautiful water ... view of the bridge pretty good too! Friendly welcoming staff who were helpful when we asked for recommendations for fresh fish - how wonderful to visit the Fish Shack and it was fabulous! Impeccably clean, room, very comfortable bed and great pillows!! Impressive Five-Star quality bed and bathroom linen. The small touches of style and flair that is not expected in accommodation of such great value were just as shown on your website. Thank you South Pacific Palms Motor Inn for a very comfortable night. Highly recommended!

Great value stay for the price. Rooms are old and dated but spacious, very clean and beds are new and comfortable. Bathroom is like stepping into the '60s but good, hot shower so no complaints. The owners have obviously put a lot of effort in to ensuring guests have a comfortable stay, beautiful new linens, lots of towels provided, and lots of thoughtful touches provided such as toiletries, tea/coffee/milk and even hot chocolate. Room had a fan & air con, and a small, well equipped kitchenette. Great location, right across from the water and the bridge to Forster. Traffic going past was noisy at night but that's to be expected from any motor inn. Good parking right outside the room. Contacless check-in and check-out as reception was closed both times. Great value, would definitely stay again.

Welcoming staff
Beds were immaculate towels were excellent
Unfortunately there was no hot water at all to shower in the morning.
Aircon and fan very old and could do with a service.
Bathroom was also very very old . Kitchenette had very small glasses for a drink of water. Not very inviting in that respect
Overpriced . Need to finish their Reno’s to charge these prices .

Stayed for a couple of nights for a Wedding with my husband. We were very lucky to stay in the newly renovated room which was ground floor opposite the pool. The room was beautiful and had everything we needed- kitchenette, fridge, large tv and parking onsite. The bed and pillows were very comfortable and linen so luxurious. Aircon and ceiling fan made our stay very comfortable in the summer heat. The bathroom was very clean and loved the large rain shower head. The whole room was immaculately clean and styled beautifully. Right outside was the large pool and outdoor tables which was a great place to catch up with friends who were also staying there. The gardens were well taken care of and the cute cabanas were a nice place to lay and relax. Not too far away is Woolies, BWS, pub and many places to eat. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Easy check in and check out. Would stay here again if we ever come back to visit Tuncurry/Forster.

Great motel for a stay at Tuncurry! Older motel but very clean and tidy. We had an upstairs room with a balcony over looking the pool and views of the water 😀 Walking distance to every in Tuncurry and The Deck Restaurant is across the road for breakfast 😀

Could not recommend this hotel highly enough. The owners, Blackie and Carol, are the most hospitable and exceptional hosts I’ve had the pleasure of staying with. After arriving late following a car breakdown at Easter, my friends and I were lucky enough to be accommodated here within the clean and welcoming South Pacific Palms Hotel. The owners took time out of their days to assist with getting the car repaired and drove us where we needed to go, which was truly above and beyond. The beds were comfortable, staff were very friendly and our rooms were cleaned and towels changed daily. The hotel is in a prime location just by the bridge and with every convenience right on your doorstep, the South Pacific Palms is a real gem.

Booked last room online on 3rd January 2020 at $175.00, on arrival the lady advised that it was a very small room and she normally doesn't advertise this room and was meant to remove it from the booking site. I said I had no choice but to take it as there was no other available Motel rooms in Tuncurry. The bed was very low and was difficult for someone who has had a double Knee replacement to get in and out of... The toilet seat was loose , which I tried to tighten by hand.and a lot of ants in the sink in the bathroom. I advised the lady on checking out and thought under the circumstances a discount refund might have been offered... On a brighter note the breakfast was excellent, hot and arrived spot on time.

Well placed, across the road from the fish co-op and river. Walk into Foster, over the bridge.
Rooms were clean, bedding comfortable, check in easy, and well priced. We will stay here again when visiting family who live locally.
Kitchenette was well stocked if you wanted to prepare your own meals, or lots of options to eat out within walking distance.
