My family and I booked in to Mangapapa Lodge, Havelock North, for a High Tea to celebrate our fathers 90th birthday. That was 2 weeks ago, and we are still talking about it. Top marks❗️Superb presentation, the staff presented Dad with a special plate of sweet treats. We will tell everyone what a fantastic time we shared. The food was...

Today my friend and I visited Mangapapa Hotel,on the outskirts of Hastings as a birthday treat for me. It is stunningly beautiful with very attentive friendly staff. We were greeted outside the Restaurant and ushered to our seats. Service was prompt and we enjoyed the complimentary wine beforehand. The High Tea was delicious (compliments to the Chef) so much so...

Beautiful grounds, friendly and warm service, lovely bedrooms. I looked forward to getting back to the hotel each day so that I could sink into that sumptuous bed! Nice modern bathrooms, Netflix in all the rooms, good breakfasts. Would definitely stay there again and would recommend it to friends. My only constructive criticism would be a bigger gym and an...

Mangapapa is like one of the best UK country house hotels in the middle of North Island. No expense has been spared by the hotel's wealthy Japanese owner and the rooms are beautiful and comfortable. The highlight for us was dinner which is a set menu - not usually my preference - but on this occasion every course was delicious,...

This is a charming little hotel. They catered to our every need with grace. The accommodations are excellent, food superb, and the grounds are wonderful. We were golfing at Cape Kidnappers (also amazing) and did not want to spend the $$$ at The Farm. This is an excellent choice for those wanting a boutique experience without the high cost of...

We recently spent a couple of nights at this rather exceptional hotel. As repeat visitors, we knew what to expect. What surprised us was that they managed to exceed the wonderful experience we had enjoyed previously. From High Tea to Dinner the level of service is both personable and professional -a quite rare combination to achieve. We left after another...

The whole environment was a focus on peace and understated luxury. The meals were not over the top but uniquely superb, so lovely to enjoy real fresh food. The bathroom toiletries were the most heavenly of natural products I have ever experienced in luxury hotels. (Just a little note - the only thing lacking was the provision of a small...

We visited Mangapapa for our girly Christmas party. High Tea with bubbles on a lovely sunny day. The service and food was outstanding and excellent value. We throughly enjoyed our afternoon. Lovely garden setting was a nice change from the hussle and bussle elsewhere at this time of year. Left feeling relaxed and a wee bit spoilt :) looking forward...
