Okay, we confess to advanced age: our kids surprised us with a trip to Québec for our 40th wedding anniversary. They had done the research, and picked what turned out to be an excellent hotel. The Champlain is in a great location -- just a few minutes' walk from the restaurants and shops on Rue St-Jean, the Hôtel de Ville,...

I thoroughly enjoyed my time in Quebec city & I fell just a little bit in love with old Quebec. Le Champlain was a great base for exploring the city. - Location is a perfect, hotel is within the walls yet not too far from exploring many great areas outside. - Room was big, Queen bed, table and chairs, large...

I just stayed at Le Champlain hotel over the weekend and I thought this hotel was absolutely lovely. Great location, great breakfast. The room was very nice. Staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. I would definitely return to this hotel.

Hotel Champlain was a great location for our four nights in Old Quebec City. We had a Jr. Suite which had a king size bed, a sitting area with sofa and coffee table, a writing desk, TV, free WiFi and an electric fireplace. Very comfortable. The bathroom was not huge and like so many hotels, the bathroom lighting could use...

I have stayed at this hotel many times . The location is great for those who want to walk around the old city. Staff is friendly and helpful. The rooms well appointed and clean. Breakfast is included and the variety of food is sufficient to start the day. Parking in the old city is limited, so it is nice to...

A fine mid-priced hotel that offers limited underground parking, a perfect location, excellent complimentary breakfast (and great all-day espresso) and large, nicely decorated rooms. OK - so the hallways are a little dingy. So what. The breakfast area is cozy and bright and there's a little reading area with sofas and a computer. Location is a perfect - within the...

Extremely well located in the heart of historic Old Quebec, the Hotel Champlain is average. The staff is helpful, but the facility is in need of some renovation. Carpets are a little threadbare and the superior room that we had was standard at best. The free Wi-Fi promised throughout the hotel did not consistently materialize in our room and when...

We stayed 2 nights at Le Champlain Hotel. The location was ideal, the staff was efficient and helpful, the room was comfortable, and the breakfast was delicious. We were also pleasantly surprised that your entire staff was bi-lingual and very patient with my poor attempts to communicate in French.

I stayed 5 nights in July for a business trip. The hotel is located just 5 minutes away from the conference centre and other attractions including restaurants and historical districts. The room was clean, comfortable and big enough for 5 nights stay. The 24-hour available coffee machine in the lobby is a good service. The breakfast place is small and...

We stayed one night here and were very satisfied. The best thing about this hotel is its location, everything that there is to see in the historical/touristic district is at a walking distance. They do not offer free parking but it is possible to park at a nearby interior public parking lot for about $20 overnight. The room itself was...
