Picturesque quiet location near everything, beautifully decorated inn, impeccably clean rooms, comfortable bed, delicious breakfast, and most charming québécoise host, Marielle. Could not be better! This is the best part of town to stay in. I have been traveling to Québec for 40 years and I guarantee you will not be disappointed.

I cannot believe how absolutely charming this hotel is! It is truly a gem, with breathtaking views! I am still in complete awe, of the amazing photographs I was able to take from the roof. Marielle and her husband are lovely people, who make you feel right at home. I stayed here for three nights and my sleep was top...

We arrived late at night and Marielle warmly greeted us after a very long drive to get to Quebec. A light breakfast (with good coffee!) awaited us the next morning. She gave good advice in places to see. The room was on the 2nd floor and very spacious for the three of us. The beds were comfy and the street...

Maison du Fort is a homely and warm place. A perfect spot for those looking for an authentic and romantic place. We received a warm welcome and service is very professional. A special mention for the cakes and muffins served for the breakfast. The place is clean and cozy.

Our second visit to Quebec, 1st time in Winter and 2nd time we have stayed at the Maison du Fort Hotel. Wonderful place, centrally located to everything in Old Quebec City within the wall, or ramparts as they say here. Close to a lot, but on a quiet street. Marielle, the owner is very charming and makes you feel very...

My wife and I stayed there for 2 nights, it was the best place that we stayed in old Quebec. Old architecture but newly renovated, and renovated by top notch tradespeople. It is very tastefully done, new with the old. They have nice stone walls and modern bathroom amenities. sharp crisp lines and old world charm. It was during the...

We spent 5 days after Christmas and it was wonderful. The hotel is nestled in the beautifully decorated old town where we could walk to restaurants, skiing, skating, shopping, river, etc. Our family of three stayed on the fourth floor which is beautifully decorated. Marielle is a gracious hostess. Delicious continental breakfast. Most special was Oscar the cat whose visits...

I chose this hotel over the others in the area mostly due to the hostess' welcoming and helpful demeanour. Marielle, from the get go, went out of her way to accommodate my requests regarding my "not so mobile" mother in law. She provided us with outstanding service and her welcoming personality charmed us all upon our arrival. The rooms were...

I'm so happy that we decided to stay here! I was looking for a unique place to spend our son's 18th birthday weekend. I wanted a place that looked historic on the outside, was in a great location, was affordable (family of 4), didn't have too many extras we wouldn't use (pool, workout facilities, 5 star restaurant, bar, etc.), but...

We were steps away from Chateau Frontenac and Vieux Quebec. The location was quiet and safe. Marielle was lovely and so helpful. The light breakfast was perfect and a great way to catch up with other guests. We would definitely return!
