Manoir Sur-le-Cap is located near the Château Frontenac and Notre Dame Basilica in Old Quebec, in the the most historic quarter of North America. On this site, facing the Jardin des Gouverneurs, a wooden house was built at the end of the 18th century. After purchasing the property in 1837, William L. Felton had the small house demolished and replaced by a comfortable stone house.Subsequently, Doctor Georges Mellis Douglas, owner of the residence, had the Grosse-Ile opened up for sick immigrants and became their medical superintendent. In 1856 and 1857, the owner of this home was painter Théophile Hamel who lived there after his mariage. The Roy family, owners of the premises since 1967, have preserved the historic cachet of this hotel. Their warm hospitality will make your stay unforgettable.

This is my second stay at Manoir Sur-le-cap. It's situated right behind Chateau Frontenac so it's easily accessible to restaurants, shopping, etc. The rooms are rustic yet comfy. They have all the modern conveniences that you need with a very friendly staff. I highly

I was very happy with this hotel. Up the block from the US Embassy and the St. Lawrence River. Convenient to Upper Town and Lower Town. We walked everywhere. Lots of restaurants near by. I like small, boutique style hotels so I was very happy with my choice. Someone on this site

What we love most about the hotel, is the position close to the Terasse Dufferin and the beautiful old Québec city part. The hotel itself is a nice and stylish designed one, in which we had a room with windows to the streets. Being located close to the old city Center of Québec,

We stayed 4 nights in this quaint hotel. At check in we dropped or bags in the lobby so we could park the car around the corner in the city parking garage and the gentleman at reception offered to run our bags up to our 3rd floor room. We stayed in room 11 which was cozy, well

Having previously stayed at Manoir Sur le Cap in the Room3 suite we recently returned for 2 nights. We booked a double room only this time and were assigned Room 2.... very disappointing. Small, right in main hallway near reception desk so noisy. Walls thin... could hear TV and

Are toiletries provided in the bathroom, i.e. shampoo, body wash, etc.? Thanks.
Yes they provide basic toiletries such as shampoo, conditioner, and I believe a bar of soap, not body wash

The hotel has very limited on site parking, but there is a parking garage a block away or so. We brought our car and after a day in the garage, the hotel gave us a spot for the remainder of the week. Since they have fewer parking spots than rooms they can't guarantee on site parking, so they don't advertise it. A good policy in my view. The hotel is ideally located close to everything that the old town has to offer. We only needed to use the car when we left the city for day trips. You will be a block away from the Chateau Frontenac. We loved this place.

"the queen size room has rustic beams & exposed brick."
"Room 4 is essentially two rooms side-by-side, with windows along one wall. It's perfect if you're traveling with kids."
