We stayed for new years and had the superior room king. Impeccable high ceilings modern design very clean. Service is cheerful and friendly. 100% satisfied. Usually you always can find something negative to say but not here. Would refer to anyone.

We made a last minute visit to Quebec city, looking for European atmosphere without transatlantic travel. We chose the hotel based on good reviews from multiple sources but I would like to add my own praise. The location was perfect for exploring and enjoying the old city and yet having easy access to modern ameneties. The room was exeptional in...

What a wonderful experience this boutique hotel is! From the warm atmosphere in the lobby, to the trendy, spacious, comfortable rooms, this hotel leaves you wanting to come back over and over again. The attentive and knowledgeable staff were superb and able to answer all of our questions. The breakfast was perfect and the coffee machine available 24hours was well...

Our first visit ti QC and we found this hotel a good choice for a short visit. Room was spacious with nice amenities. The self serve breakfast was very good and we enjoyed eating on the patio. this part of town is quieter than the upper town, which we liked. There also some excellent restaurants within easy walking distance. We...

Our deluxe king room was spacious and comfortable with great views. We rarely eat hotel breakfasts but we couldn't pass up on this one, The croissants were better than those in Paris! The location is excellent close enough to everything but distanced from the busy streets with hoards of tourists.

We chose the one that does NOT have the glass wall between the bath and bedroom areas. It was perfect. Clean modern design with tasteful furnishings and beautiful...

The service at the hotel was excellent as was the location. The staff was the best, and I had a strange request. I bought a water color in the upper area of Quebec City. I paid $20, so it not a big deal. The artist sent me on my merry way. I brought it back to the hotel without any...

If you want to stay away from the flowery bed and breakfast look of many of the Quebec City historic hotels, then this is the place for you. The rooms are decorated in the modern style. There are no flowery curtains or comforters. There are, however, pros and cons with this hotel which may sway your decision. Pros: Great location...

Five star accommodations , staff was excellent - friendly and knowledgable. Lighting was a bit dimmer than our taste but didn't effect the experience at all. Location could not have been better- in the middle of great restaurants - oh the restaurants !!- and shops as well was the historical places to visit. We will return

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The neighbourhood that saw the birth of Quebec. The hotel was inaugurated in 1997 in the former office building of Dominion Fish & Fruit Limited, erected in 1912, and enjoys an enviable location on Saint-Pierre Street in the heart of Quebec City's historic Old Port district. The hotel possesses the elegance, comfort and refinement that are distinctive to all Le Germain Boutique-Hotels. Although completely renovated, it still exudes the charm of yesteryear, thanks to efforts to preserve its historic character. Somehow, the hotel has a soul, and it's this in particular that attracts guests. Relaxing Comfort In Serene Surroundings. The rooms, where meticulous attention to detail reigns, each deliver a slice of history.
