We went for vacation in Quebec and stayed at this location for 3nights followed by another 1 night in between a day. owners kept and looked after our extra luggage at no extra fee. Breakfast was good especially the coffee. Very central hotel and very clean rooms

Old Quebec is a beautiful old city and this hotel is very well situated within the city walls. All the attractions of Old Quebec are within walking distance. The hotel is rather dated and could do with a bit of updating but, considering its excellent location, good for the money. Bit of a smell of smoke downstairs despite being a...

When we arrived, the room was the one at ground floor. The room dusty, dirty and extremelly smelling. There were dirt stains on the bed sheets and on the towels in the bathroom. Moreover the smell was really unbearable! We cancelled and left immediately for another hotel even if we have lost our first night money.

We had stayed a few nights in Quebec City at another place, but had to contend with parking challenges and not so much privacy as we wished. Walking along the street in the Old City, we popped in to La Maison Demers, liked what we saw, and immediately booked for two weeks. We were not disappointed; we had the first...

We've stayed there twice. The first time was 30+ years ago for three nights; we had the large room with balcony on the 2nd floor (no. 4 I believe) -- fabulous room and great views of the school across the street and the calaches driving by. Mme. Demers definitely made an impression as she is very friendly and yes, she...

I've stayed at Maison Demers several times while doing research for my book A Tale of Two Migrations- A French Canadian Odyssey. The location in Old Quebec City can't be beat nor can the price which includes free parking. It's near Chateau Frontenac. Compare prices! We were there during the festival in August. The building is old and creaks a...

We just finished a 3 week Quebec trip with 3 other friends. We use guides: Lonely Planet, Guide du Routard, etc and like to stay in B&B's. Our first night took us to quebec City and we booked by telephone : Maison Demers, 68, rue Ste Ursule. First, the owner greeted us in a housecoat, it was 3:30PM!!! and we...

This is not a luxury hotel; it is a decent, basic, B&B. The room on the 2nd floor (no.4), is fine with a great balcony, one of the few on the street. By North American standards it is a little primitive. Its location is great, just within the walls of the old city, walking to most things is easy. Parking...
