Rob and crew at La Loggia actually help make our trip as wonderful as it was. We were two mothers and their adult daughters spending a long weekend in Montreal-- never having been there before. The B & B is in the heart of the village-- right in the center of this exciting city. My daughter and I shared the...

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at La Loggia! What a gorgeous place with all the artwork and beautiful garden for eating breakfast or just chilling on the deck. With alot of love, Rob and Joel have created a sanctuary where we felt truly comfortable and relaxed. They are accomplished gentlemen and we always looked forward to our interesting...

What a great B&B. My friend & stayed at La Loggia July 13-15th. It is centrally located for exploring Montreal, wonderful hosts, delicious breakfast, very comfortable & clean rooms and a beautiful urban garden terrace(where breakfast is served) that you are welcome to use at any time. Rob & Joel are very gracious hosts and very helpful with suggestions for...

Really enjoyed our stay here. Everything is very clean, and Rob is very helpful with restaurant recommendations and city tips. The breakfast is a bit skimpy. The food is very good, and healthy...but it really doesn't fill you up for long. You almost feel as if you are staying with family and if you don't ask, they do not tidy...

We stayed in the Garden Room for four nights to celebrate the 4th of July & my husbands Bday. The Garden room was very comfortable and had it's own entrance to the Garden area where we enjoyed breakfast each month. Each morning breakfast included soft-boiled eggs, delicious breads assorted cheese, cereal, fruit, and beverages. We found the location ideal to...

Chose this place based on the reviews. Very glad I did! - Great location in gay village and near Berri UCAM metro, as well as bike rental place - House was IMPECCABLY clean - Not a huge breakfast, but everything was of great quality and it was more than enough to start the day: fresh yogurt, fruit, bread, eggs, tea,...

We arrived into Montreal via train from Quebec in the morning on a Sunday. Once we found a subway station, it was easy to get to the B&B. Our room wasn't ready yet since we arrived before checkout time, but we were able to drop off our bags, get some tips on places to check out, and start our relaxing...

La Loggia is really conveniently located if you plan to explore the city by public transport, or even on foot. The place feels like you are sharing someone's home as a guest, just as much as a paying client. You are made to feel really welcome from the moment you arrive and you are free to use the communal garden...

Staying in The Village (Gay Village)

Neighbourhood Profile
The Village (Gay Village)
The rainbow pillars of Beaudry Métro Station shepherd the way into to The Village, one of the largest hubs for gay and lesbian culture in North America. With an open layout and a congenial aura, the refurbished buildings along Rue Sainte-Catherine pay a special homage to menswear and to caffeine, with showrooms and cafes. By morning, the antiquing gems along Amherst Street are packed with collectors. An incredible party spot, The Village comes alive at night, when clubs, bars, and dance halls open their doors and the revelry is high, epitomised by the fanciful trimmings of the apropos Oscar Wilde building. From May to September, the area closes to automotive traffic, allowing restaurant terraces to pour onto the streets, creating a dynamic sense of community. Les Boules Roses, thousands of pink baubles, are hung to welcome in the festivals and celebrations, including Montréal en Arts, Divers-Cité, and the Pride Parade.
