The level of noise was very high. People screaming and moaning at 3 at night. The room and a hotel was dirty and run down. The receptionist was constantly drunk and not able to provide an invoice. The level of security is very low. The doors had almost no lock. Everyone could access the hotel without any notice. There was...

This place should be reported to authorities .I already called to report it. Worst experience in travel I've had in my life. A drug dealer knocking on my door at 4:10am.I was by myself with two small children in the room, terrified, trapped inside that dirty and smelly room.I booked a non smoking room but inside a ashtray full with cigarettes ,disgusting.Cockroaches...

Where to begin, well we arrived and parked next to the drunken gang outside swearing and howling at the moon. Proceeded to room, which looked a little like the brochure pic, now when i say a little it was like exactly the same only imagine leaving the room in the brochure pic to fester for like 10 years, the windows...

Despite being old, the sheets and towels are just stacked up in the basement. I really question the cleanliness of this place. Do not be fooled by the price and picture of the front entrance. The bedsheets I got felt like some kind of plastic infused materials. If you go to the basement, the towels and bed sheets are littered...

Remember, you get what you pay for. Very inexpensive stay and spacious. The owner was very nice and attentive to the loud neighbors during our stay. The place is old and smoke travels from other rooms. It was a place for us to rest our heads. Location was great and free parking. Do not stay here if you need super...

I've never ever been in such a filthy hotel before. Very old, super dirty, noise coming from everywhere, smoke smells all over the place! I couldn't even trust their towels. ... so I ended up leaving without even taking a shower! I've been to hostels and motels before but nothing can be compared to this. ..... The location is great...

Location is excellent; many attractions are within walking distance, the metro is nearby, and there is a supermarket and a 24hr convenience store across the road. A plus is free parking. However the hotel is old, tired, and rundown. Same for the room decor and furniture. The owners need to pay more attention to cleanliness. The entranceway smells musty and...

OK - it was dirt cheap, and a great location for my visit. Those were the positives (afterall, I am a positive person). If you had to do a parody of a bad hotel experience (from every possible perspective), this place would fit the bill , and then some! The other reviewers have identified the issues, they are all true....

Staying in Quartier des Spectacles

Neighbourhood Profile
Quartier des Spectacles
The bar-none entertainment district for music and arts, Quartier des Spectacles is an interactive playground that delights the senses. It totals over 30 performance halls, with the vibrant Place des Festivals at its heart. The outdoor event space features glowing towers, glass edifices, and granite-lined bike paths, and hosts annual festivals, concerts, and comedy nights. The cinema, theatres, and exhibition centres are entwined with external art projects, exemplified at Montreal's Contemporary Art Museum and appearing along every walkway of the Promenade des Artistes in the form of sculpture and public works, from digitally-enhanced swingsets to glowing fountains. Design, performance, and alternative music come together here, a stone's throw from the lively Latin Quarter along Rue Saint-Denis, the quintessential after-party spot for dinner and a drink following a day of jazz, poetry and play.
