Spent 2 nights here over the Easter long weekend and it was great. Staff are all very friendly, and a simple breakfast is included of fruit, coffee, milk, juice, bread and jam. I stayed in a 6 bed mixed dorm and one downside is that the showers, sinks, and toilets are downstairs. My bed was also a little lumpy...but I...

The hostel had a great location, a great vibe and great staff. Id be happy to bunk here again on my next visit. People were alwaya hanging out in the common area so you always had someone to talk to. Montreal is such a great city and staying her adds to your stay.

I stayed here for a total of 4 nights and was definitely not disappointed. Their big entrance hall invites to meet people and make new friends, especially if you're traveling alone. The breakfast is included and consists of toast, jam, peanut butter, butter, coffee, milk and orange juice. Apparently there usually are pancakes or fruit, but I only got pancakes...

Clean and courteous. Centrally located and walking distance to most major city attractions. Quiet with a very communal atmosphere. The hosts were lovely, and I will stay here again the next time I am in Montreal.

I stayed for one week in a room for 8, in Dec. 2016. Rate was quite affordable, staff was very friendly, multilingual and incredibly courteous! Its a clean place with a lot of space, great music at the lounge and, very well located near Av. St. Catherine and Metro Berri-Uqam. You can basically know a lot of the best areas...

I was there for 3 nights. I like the style but in the rooms there is not hot water, only warm and don't have electric connections at the top beds. Wifi is not in all bedrooms. For good connection you must stay in the lobby. Not bad, just for few days. Nice staff.

This was one of 4 hostels I stayed at while on my trip in Canada. It was also my third hostel ever. I would say that if you are a college student, who wants to party and stay up late and really doesn't mind terrible amenities then this is the place for you. However, if you are like me, and...

I have never written a negative review so I will try and be as nice as possible here. I pitched up to Montreal very early in the morning and so already a little disorientated I was looking forward to going to a nice place to stay... Luckily they did let me in earlier than the 4pm check in to dump...

Staying in The Village (Gay Village)

Neighbourhood Profile
The Village (Gay Village)
The rainbow pillars of Beaudry Métro Station shepherd the way into to The Village, one of the largest hubs for gay and lesbian culture in North America. With an open layout and a congenial aura, the refurbished buildings along Rue Sainte-Catherine pay a special homage to menswear and to caffeine, with showrooms and cafes. By morning, the antiquing gems along Amherst Street are packed with collectors. An incredible party spot, The Village comes alive at night, when clubs, bars, and dance halls open their doors and the revelry is high, epitomised by the fanciful trimmings of the apropos Oscar Wilde building. From May to September, the area closes to automotive traffic, allowing restaurant terraces to pour onto the streets, creating a dynamic sense of community. Les Boules Roses, thousands of pink baubles, are hung to welcome in the festivals and celebrations, including Montréal en Arts, Divers-Cité, and the Pride Parade.
