Really nice! The front desk girl in the evening was very helpful & friendly! Other staff were nice too! Really great location! Walking distance from everything in the town. We stayed there for 3 days and will come back when we'll be in Montreal again for sure.

There's too much furniture in the room, not functional or best use of space. Nice bathroom and flooring for value hotel. The breakfast service was terrible with stale baked goods (in a town full of French boulangeries). The attendant prohibits guests from taking a cup of coffee or banana outside of the small eating area. As a frequent business traveler,...

I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights while attending a business event in nearby Old Montreal. I was a little nervous about what the hotel would be like because the price was about half of what nearby hotels were charging, however I ended up being extremely impressed with this property. The rooms are actually nicer than the photos on...

I chose this hotel over the nearby expensive chains and was not disappointed. We came for the end of the jazz festival - an easy walk away - also an easy walk to the old town area and subway stops (Don't miss the Botanical Gardens!) so we left our car in the convention center for our entire stay and walked...

I stayed here for two nights with my wife and two young children to see some of the sights of Montreal. The hotel is good for getting to the Old town - it's about a 10 minute walk. There is a subway station (Place-D'Armes) around 5 minutes away that's reached by cutting through the cavernous convention centre on the next...

We stayed in this hotel and wouldn't recommend this hotel if service is important to you. Without going into great detail, most of the staff was unfriendly and unhelpful. Some of them were outright rude to us. Appalling service... The hotel also has problems with maintenance. There were things that were broken in our room. Also, wouldn't recommend anyone to...

Enjoyed our one night stay. Pros - good location to walk to most tourist must-do' s downtown, clean and comfotable, great breakfast ( for a complimentary) , secure, good price for downtown, free wifi ( and in room computer if you require) . Staff were professional and english speaking and friendly. The reception sold wine and other bits and pieces....

Spent 4 nights here for Grand Prix weekend and wasn't impressed with the area when we arrived, however have to admit that it was quite central for both the Old town and the more modern shopping area. Bed was very hard so sleep quality was poor. Breakfast was basic but fine for a few days. Didn't find the staff particularly...

The Hotel Dauphin is very much like a European boutique hotel. There are no real 'frills', but it is clean, affordable, the rooms are spacious, the bathrooms are modern, and the location is wonderful. It has an almost 'Ikea' feel to it. Simple furnishings everywhere. The rooms have laminate flooring instead of carpeting. Truthfully, that's probably a better and cleaner...

Extremely convenient location (I was there for a conference at the convention center). Clean, quiet - much nicer than the equivalently or higher priced chains. The breakfast was serviceable but not elaborate (but coffee was quite good).

Staying in Quartier International

Neighbourhood Profile
Quartier International
Designed to connect and beautify unused space, today the Quartier International is like a transversal piece of modern art. The distinctive design flair is most apparent at its focal point, the Palais des Congres, a convention centre and retail space with a multi-coloured glass exterior and an equally bold interior motif. Outdoors too, the Quartier is friendly towards public art exhibits along its stylish, plotted city squares, with extra-wide sidewalks meant to encourage long strolls and shaded benches available for absorbing the atmosphere. Fresh air and promenades characterise the area, from the foliage of Victoria Square to the fountain of Place Jean-Paul Riopelle, while the restaurants along Rue Saint-Antonie Ouest and Metro stops modeled in the Parisian style give off European glamour.
