Albert was a fabulous tour guide and the hotel was a great find. Our room was well appointed and very comfortable. There is street noise at night from the bars but it is manageable. This is a great play to experience true Montreal and the breakfasts are fabulous. We will go back again and again.

My husband and I stayed overnight this past weekend, and got a great rate on a 3rd floor suite. It was decorated in a cool, rather masculine style, with attention to detail; lovely bedding, including a duvet, spotlessly clean, gorgeous bathroom with extra large shower, living room area, and a huge deck attached with comfortable patio furniture. A delicious breakfast...

We stayed two nights in a suite facing the street, had every modern amenity incl updated bathroom, Nespresso coffee maker, wireless internet etc. Excellent location to walk around the city, parking was secure and well supervised. Some noise till 1 AM from the nearby taverns, party goers The breakfast was excellent.

Few times in my years of wandering far and wide have I encountered the rare mix that is Le Relais Lyonnais. Although very small in stature, Le Relais aspires big, and it achieves it seamlessly. The rooms-as widely stated by previous reviewers -are edgy , very smartly decorated and equipped. From the moment I arrived for the weekend, I sensed...

The hotel is located right in the heart of Quartier latin, on rue St-Denis, a lively neighborhood, especially at night time. It is the perfect location for a stay in Montréal. We booked the hotel because of the enthousiasm of many Trip-Advisor travellers, and though the hotel boasts about its "deluxe suites and rooms", we would rather qualify them as...

You have to trust Trip Advisor. Everything said about this hotel was spot-on. The rooms were lovely (we were fortunate to be on the 2nd floor in the back, as it was quieter), clean, had plenty of drawer and storage space, and well appointed. The espresso machine in the room is wonderful, and there are fresh inserts, cups, and cream...

Le Relais Lyonnais is a hotel that deserves the rave reviews that it is getting. The rooms are fantastic and the facilities are well worth it. Breakfast in La Brioche Lyonnais is wonderful and the staff are really helpful and friendly.

The manager was very helpful with suggestions about what to do in Montreal. The hotel is an easy walk to the Old city and only a couple of minutes walk to the nearest Metro. There are many good restaurants in the area. Our room was on the third floor and was a nice suite with an outside terrace. The shower...

My wife and I stayed one night at Le Relais Lyonnais. Because the hotel was not full, the hotel upgraded us to a bigger room for free. I was a little leery because the room they gave us was on the second floor and right outside a quite lively section of rue St. Denis. Fortunately, we slept like babies. The...

We stayed at this boutique hotel/auberge recently and were very pleasantly surprised to find that previous reviews I'd read here were spot-on. Personable, charming and affordable ....The cost of a night-stay included a full breakfast at the european-style restaurant/terrasse downstairs where the menu and quality of food was excellent. Indoor parking at a garage across the street is available for...

Staying in Quartier des Spectacles

Neighbourhood Profile
Quartier des Spectacles
The bar-none entertainment district for music and arts, Quartier des Spectacles is an interactive playground that delights the senses. It totals over 30 performance halls, with the vibrant Place des Festivals at its heart. The outdoor event space features glowing towers, glass edifices, and granite-lined bike paths, and hosts annual festivals, concerts, and comedy nights. The cinema, theatres, and exhibition centres are entwined with external art projects, exemplified at Montreal's Contemporary Art Museum and appearing along every walkway of the Promenade des Artistes in the form of sculpture and public works, from digitally-enhanced swingsets to glowing fountains. Design, performance, and alternative music come together here, a stone's throw from the lively Latin Quarter along Rue Saint-Denis, the quintessential after-party spot for dinner and a drink following a day of jazz, poetry and play.
