I had expectations of a place like a hostel, so I was pleased with my room and with the shower/toilet. Our room was on the top floor, so it was nice and clean and fresh-smelling. At first the internet wasn't working, but after a couple...More
We arrived to Montreal in the early evening hours after over 3 hrs journey from Quebec. With our luggages it took us about and hour to get to the hotel. Turning into St Denis St where the horror starts. Surrounded with druggies and beggars we...More
We went there last Saturday, the service is great and the stuff are very friendly, I want to say it is in the great location, close to the Supermarket, Bar, BUS station, Parking, it is very convenient ,we may come back again!
The pictures of this place on all the websites are very misleading and not at all portray what the rooms are really like. The rooms are extremely tiny and suffocating. The room smells really really badly and the stairs smelled like disinfectant had been sprayed...More

The bar-none entertainment district for music and arts, Quartier des Spectacles is an interactive playground that delights the senses. It totals over 30 performance halls, with the vibrant Place des Festivals at its heart. The outdoor event space features glowing towers, glass edifices, and granite-lined bike paths, and hosts annual festivals, concerts, and comedy nights. The cinema, theatres, and
exhibition centres are entwined with external art projects, exemplified at Montreal's Contemporary Art Museum and appearing along every walkway of the Promenade des Artistes in the form of sculpture and public works, from digitally-enhanced swingsets to glowing fountains. Design, performance, and alternative music come together here, a stone's throw from the lively Latin Quarter along Rue Saint-Denis, the quintessential after-party spot for dinner and a drink following a day of jazz, poetry and play.

The library around the corner has sheltered parking with unlimited entry/exits in a 24hour period for $12. Upon entering, park your car, go to the machine and deposit money. It will print a receipt with a time on it; leave the receipt visible on you car dash. If you want to leave before you time expires, you are free to do so. Likewise if you return before your time expires, you can still use the same receipt (just make sure to pay for the next additional time you need.)
There is street parking directly in front, however it is just for unloading. There are other spots that have time restrictions, and cost money.
We parked our car at the library, and used bikes to get around the city. Around the corner there is a BIXI bike station that offers very cheap bicycle rentals per day (I think $5/day). There is a 30 minute time limit before you have to drop it in another BIXI bike station, but then can immediately take one out again for another 30 minutes.

Not sure what their pet policy is. As the place seemed to be quite disorganized and not too smart at the front desk area, they might not even notice you're bringing your pet. OTH, you might want to avoid a nasty surprise on arrival so it's best to double check with them. It's best to do it in writing so that when the inevitable front desk confusion arises, you can just show them your email that says it's ok for you to bring said pet along. Good luck.
