Stayed in an executive room (one has a large bath and I was able to stay in that one) for two nights, decent place. Pretty decor, quiet, nice front desk staff. Overall a very good place to stay. Note: The breakfast is equivalent to what you would get on an airplane (boxed drink, small yogurt, clementine, two buffet-typical mini pastries,...

Upon arrival the room we were assigned was fine and clean but very small as we had paid for an executive suite after spending the first night I was browsing their website and discovered we were in a standard room. I went to the front desk and voiced my concern and was immediately given the keys to all of their...

From the moment I was warmly welcomed to the calling of a taxi upon my departure, I felt comfortable and well-attended. This is a comfortable, well-maintained place to call home for a stay. I was there for a week and thoroughly enjoyed entering my cozy room at the end of a busy day of sight-seeing. The Auberge is across the...

We took a risk making a last minute reservation at the unknown Auberge Le Pomerol for a spontaneous weekend trip to Montreal. It was very easy to find, well lit and marked. We were warmly greeted by our name, by lovely, fun staff who immediately put us at ease. The secure on site parking was a super bonus! The reception...

I stayed here with my boyfriend in our own room and three other friends for the Osheaga music festival in July 2016. From the moment we arrived the staff was courteous and friendly. They made sure we had everything we needed and pointed out the metro accessible directly across the street. Every morning we awoke to picnic baskets hung outside...

This is definitely a quaint inn, so do not expect the flourishes of a larger hotel, and I think that's a good thing! The rooms are spacious and charming- our bathroom was huge and included a luxurious soaking tub which was a welcome treat after a hot day perusing the streets of Montreal. The staff were welcoming and friendly, parking...

This is a wonderful hotel with excellent service. I emailed them before my trip and they got back to me almost immediately. When I arrived the check in process was so simple and hassle free. The room was clean and neat! I didn't anticipate the free breakfast but that was good too. It's wonderfully situated, literally just across the street...

I felt so cozy in this small but beautiful hotel. Our room was small but comfortable and the bathroom was very clean. The details made the hotel. The picnic basket sent to your room with breakfast. If I wanted more, there was a breakfast room. The cozy fireplace area. The people are soooo nice and helpful. We felt very welcome...

Location excellent for train access-across the street- & Amtrak + Airport bus to downtown is just a few minutes walk away. When I booked the Hotel picture showed outdoor dining seating. I was surprised to find the restaurant had been turned into more accommodation. Staff , especially Jason & Chantelle, were very welcoming every day in the ultra tiny reception...

Staying in The Village (Gay Village)

Neighbourhood Profile
The Village (Gay Village)
The rainbow pillars of Beaudry Métro Station shepherd the way into to The Village, one of the largest hubs for gay and lesbian culture in North America. With an open layout and a congenial aura, the refurbished buildings along Rue Sainte-Catherine pay a special homage to menswear and to caffeine, with showrooms and cafes. By morning, the antiquing gems along Amherst Street are packed with collectors. An incredible party spot, The Village comes alive at night, when clubs, bars, and dance halls open their doors and the revelry is high, epitomised by the fanciful trimmings of the apropos Oscar Wilde building. From May to September, the area closes to automotive traffic, allowing restaurant terraces to pour onto the streets, creating a dynamic sense of community. Les Boules Roses, thousands of pink baubles, are hung to welcome in the festivals and celebrations, including Montréal en Arts, Divers-Cité, and the Pride Parade.
