We spent 6 nights at the BB du Village in the cottage in May. The cottage offered a great space, with kitchen and private en suite. Room service every day and a delicious breakfast with a good variety of food available. Philippe was a great help on many occasions and we really appreciated his kindness. A truly welcoming and high...

BBV provides personalized attention that you will not get in a hotel. BBV has modern amenities, it's quiet and charming, and plus you get a big breakfast, and inexpensive rates. I stayed here with two friends in the 2-bedroom suite and we were very comfortable. I will definitely book again here on future trips to Montreal, and I will recommend...

I had a great stay this week. Back in Paris and still impressed by Montreal and Le Village. Merci to my hosts who have just been great, always here to help, very friendly and generous, and the dog is soooo cute. I truly recommend, can't wait to be back hopefully when Rue St-Catherine is closed to cars. Thank you!

My sister & I recently stayed at BBV for 6 nights, selecting it based on Trip Advisor reviews. We were quite pleased with our experience there. As stated by other reviewers, the location can't be beat - only a short walk to the Metro line Beaudry Station. We were able to walk everywhere (with &/or without the extensive metro transit...

We loved our visit to Montreal and our stay at BBV. The location was great with easy access to the Metro so we could travel easily around Montreal. The property was always clean, the beds were comfortable, and the room was quiet. Phillipe and Nicolas were delightful hosts. They even prepared us "To-Go" breakfasts on two days of our stay...

A wonderful B&B on a quiet street in central Montreal. I believe the bed was the most comfortable bed I've ever slept on. The rooms are small but very comfortable and the shared bathroom was next to the room and also furnished nicely. There was a sink in the room. The kitchen is marvelous and available to use during the...

Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted by the owners and given the grand tour of the lovely property. The bedroom was spacious and bright with a large and comfortable bed. The shared bathroom was clean and modern and the remainder of the property was extremely well maintained and had a very comfortable and homey feel. The B&B is located right...

Staying in The Village (Gay Village)

Neighbourhood Profile
The Village (Gay Village)
The rainbow pillars of Beaudry Métro Station shepherd the way into to The Village, one of the largest hubs for gay and lesbian culture in North America. With an open layout and a congenial aura, the refurbished buildings along Rue Sainte-Catherine pay a special homage to menswear and to caffeine, with showrooms and cafes. By morning, the antiquing gems along Amherst Street are packed with collectors. An incredible party spot, The Village comes alive at night, when clubs, bars, and dance halls open their doors and the revelry is high, epitomised by the fanciful trimmings of the apropos Oscar Wilde building. From May to September, the area closes to automotive traffic, allowing restaurant terraces to pour onto the streets, creating a dynamic sense of community. Les Boules Roses, thousands of pink baubles, are hung to welcome in the festivals and celebrations, including Montréal en Arts, Divers-Cité, and the Pride Parade.
