Extremely polite, bilingual and accommodating staff. Clean surroundings, huge rooms with much charm. Great location close to activities. Walking distance to Palais des Congres, Chinatown, Spanish quarters, in Old Montreal. Great selection of restaurants. Restaurants/bar in hotel also very nice. Relaxing mood. I would definitely stay there again.

The Place d'Armes Hotel is well situated in the heart of the Old Port and offers excellent opportunities for sightseeing. The Hotel restaurants were of excellent quality and exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend going to Kyo and getting their tasting menu. The rooms are well decorated and impeccably clean.

I was stranded in Montreal and got this on Hotwire. It was terrific and would stay again. My room had very tall ceilings and hardwood floors. Not something you see everyday. Traditional bathroom with big tub. Rooms were more masculine than you would expect. More like a study. Great views. It was a Sunday but I could see how it...

We stayed here in May of 2013 so my husband could immigrate to the US but we brought the whole family. We reserved a room with a balcony but upon our arrival it had been taken. The concierge upgraded us to the Penthouse. Seeing as the weather was still brisk we were happy about this. The Penthouse was huge. The hotel...

The last time I stayed here was in 2010- where I had a lovely experience I didn't think could be matched. I was wrong! The room was even larger and more charming than the one I remembered. The brick wall added a lovey touch- as did the large and impeccably clean bathroom. The Rain Spa was lovely also- got one...

We were in Old Montreal for a family wedding and stayed in Le Place d'Armes Hotel & Suites. We had a standard Queen room, which was clean, tastefully decorated, and more than adequate for our needs, with a spacious, luxurious bathroom, comfy bedding, a large screen TV, and free wifi. Our room also had a safe, an ironing board and...

We had the most spectacular weekend at this hotel. We had emailed in advance to ask for early check-in and to let them know it was our 30th anniversary. We were able to check in at 11:30, they upgraded our room and then delivered us chocolate covered strawberries. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was...

Staying in Quartier International

Neighbourhood Profile
Quartier International
Designed to connect and beautify unused space, today the Quartier International is like a transversal piece of modern art. The distinctive design flair is most apparent at its focal point, the Palais des Congres, a convention centre and retail space with a multi-coloured glass exterior and an equally bold interior motif. Outdoors too, the Quartier is friendly towards public art exhibits along its stylish, plotted city squares, with extra-wide sidewalks meant to encourage long strolls and shaded benches available for absorbing the atmosphere. Fresh air and promenades characterise the area, from the foliage of Victoria Square to the fountain of Place Jean-Paul Riopelle, while the restaurants along Rue Saint-Antonie Ouest and Metro stops modeled in the Parisian style give off European glamour.
