We stayed in the annex across the street, which was lovely. The room is clean, bed is comfy and the location is great, close to sainte catherine. As stated by others, parking can be a bit hit and miss and there are no stairs in the annex so the third floor was a little challenging with luggage...but built up leg...

The building itself is beautiful, very historic. We ended up with the "luxury room" which was a big one in front of the building across the street from reception. Very clean as well. Only issue is it was really loud for us when people were coming in and out, as well as running the pipes upstairs. Perhaps recommend a sign...

Clean and comfortable! Not luxury but met our needs. No elevator and only 3 free parking spots. Reasonable price for good location. If you can park and walk, it is ideal. Latin area with good restaurants is only a few blocks away!

This is a beautiful place. We stayed in the Annex across the street from the main building. The room was spacious and very comfortable. The front desk staff was very friendly and accommodating. Minor drawbacks would be that there is no lift in the Annex and there is no designated parking, so you have to find a spot on the...

We stayed here for two nights on our 4 city Canadian adventure and this by far was the cleanest, most beautiful, friendliest staff... Simply put the best hotel on all the legs of our trip. Yes, the bathroom (toilet area) was a little cramped but not bad.

We booked this hotel for 3 nights and left after 2. The room had to be 8x8 and the bathroom maybe 4x3. Clean yes. 4 huge flights of stairs and no parking. Well, parking consists with the luck of the draw and if you think you are lucky enough to get a spot, the parking ticket tells you your luck...

It is by no means a fancy hotel - but is very clean and comfortable. The location was perfect for all the things we did. So very close to every neighborhood. Two BIXI bikeshare locations one block away (one up the hill and one down the hill, depending on which direction you wanted to go - Montreal is an extremely...

First time in Montreal! This hotel is easy to reach by foot from all the central places. Shopping, gay village, restaurants, museums. Great rooms with A/C and good wifi, but bathroom is tiny! Charming exterior, but very very steep long outdoor stairs from street to reception. I would be happy to stay here again and I would like to go...

I stayed in Montreal for my first time five nights at the hotel de paris. loved it for the location and for the price it didn't disappoint. The room was sizable with a fridge, bathroom, and desk. I sleep with headphones so the foot noises didn't bother me. Being so close to the beautiful/hip plateau was a dream. Just mere...

Check in was fast and I was a little worried as my room was right of the lobby. Didn't here any noise. The air conditioning made a squeaky sound all night which was a little annoying so I eventually just turned it off. The room was clean and large. Nicely located to Rue Saint Catherine. Will definitely stay again when...

Staying in Le Plateau Mont-Royal

Neighbourhood Profile
Le Plateau Mont-Royal
Go native in Plateau Mont-Royal, where bespoke shopping, hip eateries, and wacky paint jobs attract locals and transplants alike, making it one of the city's most diverse and distinctly authentic experiences. A creative hub, Montreal's artistic elite pack the cafes along Rue Saint-Denis, where young painters and fashion designers draw inspiration from the playful murals and stately Victorian homes that dot the Plateau's side streets. Not a major sightseeing destination, a visit to Plateau Mont-Royal allows you to enjoy a local perspective, soaking in indie films, latte art, contemporary galleries, and the city's best bagels. A center of polyglot culture, Québécois accents mingle with shades of Portuguese, Greek, and Hebrew in the area's iconic Mile End district, where restaurants straddle chic designer boutiques, serving up chorizo and caldo verde. Friendliest to those on foot, it's a jungle of colourful awnings and sidewalk umbrellas, pedestrian walks and luxury shopping.
