In the heart of Vieux Montreal Le St. Suplice was a first class experience from the moment I reserved to the moment we left. A welcoming environment with beautiful decor greeted us. The concierge services added special touches we were looking for. All the staff at the hotel were very attentive to our needs. Our suite was spectacular and extremely...

Very well located ! Footsteps from the Old Port. In december, it's a very romantic place to have a walk ! The rooms are very nice ! Very trendy and clean ! Unfortunately, not much parking spaces around, but it's always the same in bigger cities ! We would recommend !

I would recommend this hotel. The staff were welcoming, the suite was spacious and the location is excellent for tourists in the heart of Old Montreal. It is easy to walk or take transit to anywhere in the city. The staff were kind enough to let us have a late check-out. They are renovating at present, but took pains to...

My husband and I stayed in this hotel for 4 nights and had a great time. We were upgraded to a larger suite upon checkin, which is always a bonus. The room was very large and comfortable and included a "faux" fireplace which put out heat when the heater was on - a nice touch in the winter. The lighting...

Staying in Vieux-Montreal (Old Montreal)

Neighbourhood Profile
Vieux-Montreal (Old Montreal)
The historic centre of Montreal, Vieux-Port is home to some of the city's most antiquated buildings and picturesque streets. Along the waters of the St. Lawrence River, the bank of Old Port features museums, festivals, food stalls, and outdoor athletics, a celebrated part of the city that explodes into fireworks displays on warm summer nights. At its centre, street performers and artists compete with sprawling restaurant terraces for space along Jacques-Cartier Square, while the cobbled streets of Rue St. Paul and Rue Notre-Dame offer a reprieve of quiet galleries and atmospheric wine bars. Horse-drawn carriages are not an uncommon part of traffic, and the narrows they traverse are lined with boutiques, crêperies, and poutine shops enshrined in buildings of stone and wooden lattices. Here you can evoke Montreal's past with a traditional cooking lesson or historical tour, then enjoy its artistic present with live music and theatre.
