I stayed at Au Coeur with my 14 year old daughter and really enjoyed it. The owner gave us a map and highlighted the routes of places we wanted to go. The room was nicely decorated and clean. We had wonderful breakfasts and enjoyed meeting the fellow guests.

The hosts are an amazing and gracious couple that are very knowledgeable about Montreal. The breakfasts are large and delicious. The room was clean, bright, and quiet. The b&b is in a good location - about a 10 minute walk to the train. It is a steep walk but there are many busses to climb up the hill if you... More

If you are looking for a bed & breakfast in Montreal with warm, knowledgable owners and wonderful local breakfasts, consider Au Coeur Urbain. This lovely house is half-way up the hill to Mont Royal, the "mountain" at the center of the city. Two practical considerations to be aware of are: (1) the property is half-way up a very steep hill... More

Outstanding B&B: well-located, clean, hospitable, and great breakfasts. The Metro is easily accessed down Cote-des-Neiges on the Concordia campus. Francois and Carole are superlative hosts, always available for advice & travel help, but never the slightest bit overbearing. And those breakfasts: a different menu every day, locally produced cheeses, jams and honeys, all delicious. We stayed next to a couple... More

We went with another couple to Montreal back in March. The owner of this B&B is a very nice couple. The B&B is quite new, clean and nicely decorated. What we like and remember the most is the breakfast. They made 3 course breakfast for us using fresh ingredients! And the menu changes everyday! The B&B is not located in... More

Staying in Parc du Mont-Royal

Neighbourhood Profile
Parc du Mont-Royal
Montreal was named for this hilly highland, where the tallest spot in the city overlooks its most extensive parkland. The greenspace of Parc du Mont-Royal is an outdoorsman's dream, with hiking trails and nature walks that cater to every season and level of athlete. In the winter, cross-country skiers, tobogganers, and ice skaters don their equipment by Beaver Lake and its pavilion, while the warmer months bring families and competitors to the pitches of Jeanne-Mance Park for tennis, soccer, football, baseball, volleyball, or a dip in the community pool. A perfect spot for a stroll or a picnic, the forest foliage is dotted with sculpture art and offers views of some of Mont-Royal's oldest edifices, the towering St. Joseph's Oratory and the mausoleums of Notre-Dame-des-Neiges. Home to musical celebrations and twilight snowshoeing alike, visit here to walk, write, rest, think, or just be.
