Well, the location is great. that's no doubt about it. It's near to the St. Catherine. However the hotel decor is tooooooooooooooo dated! It's like the old hotel that I need to stay when I was small in the city of Rome 20 years ago. The bedding is comfortable, but the room design is so odd. Why they need to...

I stayed at this hotel for a week in April, during a conference. As big North American city hotels go ... it was of a decent standard. Rooms were a bit small ... ceilings were a bit low ... and the room was certainly not cheap.Internet connection was mediocre. However ... one thing that really "stuck in my craw" was...

We sincerely regret your disappointment and certainly appreciate your sentiments. We fully realize that it appears as if we are nickel and diming our guests however as an explanation and not an excuse, several departments have unionized associates and this point in particular is in the collective bargaining agreement in which we have no alternative but to abide by. Was in Montreal for the first time for business and conference hotel was the Le Centre Sheraton Montreal. It was close to St. Catherines St and the Underground City and walking distance to Old Montreal and the Port of Montreal. Handy location for exploring the city. I've stayed in many Sheraton's for business and they have always been a good...

Booked conference rate which was still >$300 per night all in. The club floor at the top of the building was very nice, but then they charged me $30 to bring in a guest. Place was practically empty. Elevator noise was bothersome. The last straw was then charged me $3 to check my bag on day of checkout. I had...

Stayed here for business. Enjoyed the hotel and very smart. Rooms not quite as spacious as other 4 star hotel chains but still nice. It had every convenience you would need in the room including plenty of USB charging points and sockets. The breakfast was very different but service first class. No buffet but set menus. Would stay again as...

Hotel staff were very service oriented. The room was very clean. The bed was really, really comfty. The room size was good. Wifi is free at the lobby but not in the room. They have a parking garage. It is walking distance to many restaurants, stores, churches and from one of the underground city entrances. If you get tired of...

It rained our entire long weekend, the hotel was perfectly located for that. Great restaurants and shops all right there. Umbrella's were lent by the bell desk and made a wet weekend more tolerable. The evening reception was lame on the concierge level except for the view, breakfast was far better. Tip is don't be late for breakfast they start...

Nice rooms and excellent location for anyone planning on attending an event at the Bell Centre. Price of room was reasonable but restaurant and lounge prices were a little out of reach for the average person. Service charge for Wi-Fi (MacDonalds has free Wi-Fi) or the option of giving your email address so you can be bombarded with messages. Surprised...

Staying in Centre-Ville (Downtown)

Neighbourhood Profile
Centre-Ville (Downtown)
Montreal's towering skyline is concentrated in the Downtown area, its nexus of commerce and commercialism. A suffusion of luxury hotels, flagship stores, high-end restaurants, and corporate headquarters characterize the neighborhood, which by nightfall transforms from a business district into a youth-culture hotspot, with hip bars, clubs, and restaurants heavily peopled by students and young professionals. The once-seat of millionaire's 'Golden Square Mile', an incongruity of stately mansions and dapper brownstones sit between glass skyscrapers, creating a visually lush urban landscape. Beneath the sidewalks lay the Underground City, the world's largest below-ground mall, a labyrinth of over 1,500 shops and eateries that echo the profusion of cafes, gallerias, cinemas, and fashion outlets above. From the scholarly array at McGill University to the carousing crowds of Rue Crescent, visit Downtown to shop by day for what you'll wear there by night.
