We stayed for 3 nights at L'Appartement in September. Pros: 1. location is really good. it is basically a walk in distance from all attractions. 2. the apartments are really spacious. we booked a 1 bedroom and a studio and got upgraded to a 2 bedroom and a 1 bedroom. The hotel is basically an old apartment building converted into...

We were scheduled to arrive on Saturday, but got delayed until Sunday as we got caught up in the mess caused by the fire in Chicago. These guys are not alone in their business practices, but I think they could have been a little more sympathetic to the situation and not charged for the first night's stay. But other than...

We stayed here for two nights for a short vacation. We ordered a one bedroom suite but upgraded to a 2 bedroom suite which was spacious with a nice kitchen. Suite was nice and clean although the sofas in the living room were little outdated. Breakfast was good and adequate and the WiFi worked well. Location is great close to...

This Apartment style hotel is a great place to stay. We booked a 1 bedroom with a sofa bed in the living room for 3 adults and were upgraded to a two bedroom unit. The kitchen was small but it had all that we needed full size fridge 4 burner stove and all the pots, pans, plates even wine glasses...

The hotel is right in downtown Montreal with Metro stations and Bus stops within walking distance. We had a one bedroom suite and it was spacious with a full kitchen. The breakfast was good. The heated pool and sauna on the 17th floor was nice to use on a cold rainy day. The hotel is right across from Delta Montreal...

We visited this hotel for a week in September based on the reviews we read on this site and other sites. I was extremely disappointed with this hotel in terms of service and cleanliness. Since I had two bookings for the same stay the hotel was not able to accommodate my request of not changing rooms even though I clearly...

Was pleasantly surprised by size of room, even though I had one of the smaller "queen studios". Kitchen was great - for once while traveling, I could actually bring my restaurant leftovers home & reheat - and really enjoyed having my own private balcony that I could step out on and watch Rue Sherbrook's pedestrian, bike and motor traffic at...

Location is great, staff is friendly and hotel is clean However the hotel needs to get a face lift. Very old furniture and my room reminds me of grandmas house...was probably nice in 1978 but not that nice by 2014 standards.. My bed was hard as a rock, and pillows were terrible...

We stayed here for two nights before our cruise. Location is very good. Suites are spatious with a nice kitchen. Very clean room and bathroom. Good Internet. Breakfast is good but the food area has a bad design and it gets congested. We took a tray to our room to better enjoy our breakfast. We bought groceries at the prodigo...

My wife and I stayed at this hotel for 3 days and really enjoyed everything about it. Our suite was very spacey and comfortable. In addition to bedroom it had "living room" with the large flat screen TV and kitchen full of utensils, dishes and appliances including refrigerator, microwave, toaster, coffeemaker. Complimentary breakfast was good as well (croissants, pastries, fruits,...

Staying in Le Plateau Mont-Royal

Neighbourhood Profile
Le Plateau Mont-Royal
Go native in Plateau Mont-Royal, where bespoke shopping, hip eateries, and wacky paint jobs attract locals and transplants alike, making it one of the city's most diverse and distinctly authentic experiences. A creative hub, Montreal's artistic elite pack the cafes along Rue Saint-Denis, where young painters and fashion designers draw inspiration from the playful murals and stately Victorian homes that dot the Plateau's side streets. Not a major sightseeing destination, a visit to Plateau Mont-Royal allows you to enjoy a local perspective, soaking in indie films, latte art, contemporary galleries, and the city's best bagels. A center of polyglot culture, Québécois accents mingle with shades of Portuguese, Greek, and Hebrew in the area's iconic Mile End district, where restaurants straddle chic designer boutiques, serving up chorizo and caldo verde. Friendliest to those on foot, it's a jungle of colourful awnings and sidewalk umbrellas, pedestrian walks and luxury shopping.
