My family stayed here for family day weekend. We enjoyed the location which is right downtown and walking distance to shopping , restaurant's and to the Bell Centre. Front desk was very helpful and found the room was very fine and would stay there again.

We stayed her for one night, last night. The room clean but the decor was way too dismal. Lots of browns and creams. Heavy colours that don't add ambience. All the staff apart from the Valet chap were incredibly dull and mardy. We had room service, which was OK, a bit dry and the fries not cooked that well. The...

My partner and I had a great stay here over New Year's Eve. It is right in the heart of Montreal and within walking distance of many attractions, malls and restaurants. We were a bit surprised at first by all the security and the use of wristbands to get back into the hotel. But after being out late and coming...

Well positioned older hotel ideal for enjoying Montréal. Plenty of restaurants, shops and tourist attractions in walking distance. The Hotel is more than adequate as a base with large rooms and comfortable beds. Transport links nearby.

We have stayed at this hotel twice. Both times to attend hockey games and to do some shopping. The location is fantastic, minutes from Bell Centre and shopping on St. Catherine Street. Staff was friendly, particularly Mike, the concierge.

Concierge was amazing! Mike and Mustapha know the area and are more than friendly. They go completely out of their way to make your stay enjoyable and memorable and will make arrangements for transportation and tourism.

We were visiting our grand daughter at McGill so this is just about the best place to stay. It is close to the campus and very reasonable. Our bed was very comfortable and the room clean. Staff was helpful.

Location: 10 to 15 minute walk from Via train station, one bloc away from the Peel Metro station and a short walk to the shopping district. Ideal! Room: Clean and comfortable. Layout of our room was a bit odd. Our room had two queen beds. Small bathroom was located across from the beds. The bathroom door had a frosted glass....

Staying in Centre-Ville (Downtown)

Neighbourhood Profile
Centre-Ville (Downtown)
Montreal's towering skyline is concentrated in the Downtown area, its nexus of commerce and commercialism. A suffusion of luxury hotels, flagship stores, high-end restaurants, and corporate headquarters characterize the neighborhood, which by nightfall transforms from a business district into a youth-culture hotspot, with hip bars, clubs, and restaurants heavily peopled by students and young professionals. The once-seat of millionaire's 'Golden Square Mile', an incongruity of stately mansions and dapper brownstones sit between glass skyscrapers, creating a visually lush urban landscape. Beneath the sidewalks lay the Underground City, the world's largest below-ground mall, a labyrinth of over 1,500 shops and eateries that echo the profusion of cafes, gallerias, cinemas, and fashion outlets above. From the scholarly array at McGill University to the carousing crowds of Rue Crescent, visit Downtown to shop by day for what you'll wear there by night.
