Celine is a fantastic hostess with a sense of style that is expressed throughout the gîte. The place is colorful, homey and well equipped. The breakfasts were enjoyable, but not for the carb-fearing sort. I would highly recommend this gîte, especially when you factor in the nonpareil location and the reasonable cost.

We have been to Montreal many times and stayed in a number of different places, but this place by far is our favorite. The location is excellent and within walking distance to many sights and restaurants. Celine is the perfect hostess. We look forward to visiting again.

I loved this guest house. I chose it after lots of searching on the internet and am really glad I booked it. The location is perfect - just metres from the metro station and close to numerous excellent restaurants and bars. My room was very comfortable - and so well-heated which was very welcome as it was winter when I...

My fiancée and I stayed here recently for several days and had such a great stay! "Au Piano Blanc" was a great find. We stayed in "La Lumineuse" which had a private bathroom. It is a really nice, clean place and the breakfasts were very tasty with good portions! Céline, the hostess, was very kind and really made us feel...

After having to vacate a dirty, smoky vacation rental that was giving my boyfriend breathing trouble, Celine greeted us at 11 o'clock at night at her beautiful gite. I cannot recommend this place highly enough. It is cozy, beautiful and absolutely charming. The location is amazing - right by a metro station and a block off the main drag. We...

My wife and I spend two nights at this B&B. We had a small room called l'Écolière on the ground floor. The room was fairly small and we had to share the bathroom also on the ground floor (there are two rooms with private bathrooms but they were already taken when we booked). There is no A/C although with the...

We stayed two nights at au piano blanc. Céline was very helpful and accommodating and treated us to a vibrant and entertaining song accompanied by her guitar. The breakfast was excellent and the company stimulating. It is right by the Mont Royal neighborhood full of restaurants and engaging boutiques. Recommended!

Right off the Mont-Royal metro station is this charming B&B that's a great place to call home base when you visit for either business or vacation. Rooms are extremely comfortable and outfitted with all the modern conveniences of a hotel. The staff are incredibly gracious and helpful, including the friendly little dog who hung around to keep me company as...

Celine is an amazing energetic and welcoming host. B&b is in a great location - away from crazy loud club scene and close to alternative and classy shops and restaurants. Whether gay or straights, couple or single you will feel most welcomed and relaxed.

Staying in Le Plateau Mont-Royal

Neighbourhood Profile
Le Plateau Mont-Royal
Go native in Plateau Mont-Royal, where bespoke shopping, hip eateries, and wacky paint jobs attract locals and transplants alike, making it one of the city's most diverse and distinctly authentic experiences. A creative hub, Montreal's artistic elite pack the cafes along Rue Saint-Denis, where young painters and fashion designers draw inspiration from the playful murals and stately Victorian homes that dot the Plateau's side streets. Not a major sightseeing destination, a visit to Plateau Mont-Royal allows you to enjoy a local perspective, soaking in indie films, latte art, contemporary galleries, and the city's best bagels. A center of polyglot culture, Québécois accents mingle with shades of Portuguese, Greek, and Hebrew in the area's iconic Mile End district, where restaurants straddle chic designer boutiques, serving up chorizo and caldo verde. Friendliest to those on foot, it's a jungle of colourful awnings and sidewalk umbrellas, pedestrian walks and luxury shopping.
