This was a great hostel! It's located in the perfect location, very close to a lot of fun areas. The staff were very friendly and spoke wonderful English. I stayed in a 12 bed dorm and with that comes lots of personalities so if that...More
I think this is a relatively new hotel, in the heart of Montreal's "Le Village" neighborhood. It seems quite popular. Even in late October, this hostel is quite full.

The rainbow pillars of Beaudry Métro Station shepherd the way into to The Village, one of the largest hubs for gay and lesbian culture in North America. With an open layout and a congenial aura, the refurbished buildings along Rue Sainte-Catherine pay a special homage to menswear and to caffeine, with showrooms and cafes. By morning, the antiquing gems along Amherst Street are packed with collectors. An incredible party
spot, The Village comes alive at night, when clubs, bars, and dance halls open their doors and the revelry is high, epitomised by the fanciful trimmings of the apropos Oscar Wilde building. From May to September, the area closes to automotive traffic, allowing restaurant terraces to pour onto the streets, creating a dynamic sense of community. Les Boules Roses, thousands of pink baubles, are hung to welcome in the festivals and celebrations, including Montréal en Arts, Divers-Cité, and the Pride Parade.

You can pay for parking at the municipal garage at the Library 3 blocks away...of you can find free parking on Rue Robin or Rue Logan, a short walk (as long as you can read the signs! There is one hour every week that cars must be moved...and other side streets have some parking, but much is reserved for those with resident stickers. It can be a little tricky, but once you learn the system, you can usually find a free space close by.
