My cousins and I stayed here for four nights a few weeks ago. It is in the heart of the beautifully eccentric, charming Old Town. Its a small- ish hotel, with a small bar but a bustling, expensive dining room. We never ate there but...More
Just returned from an overnight stay at the Bonaparte hotel in Old Montreal. Can't say enough about this little gem. Upon arrival we were greeted with a glass of bubbly and a room upgrade. Our room was lovely...with an elegant French inspired décor. The customer...More
This hotel may not have a pool or spa but it makes up for it in quality and the staff's attention to detail. The breakfast is included and is hot and cooked to order. The hotel is very central and is in the old district...More
This hotel is perfectly situated in the Old City, with sites and restaurants in walking distance. The room was very nice, with a good bed and quality bedding.

We stayed at this lovely hotel in 2011 and when we decided to take a cruise from this lovely city's port, I immediately booked this hotel and also booked our two dinners here, as my memory of this place was calling me back. The hotel...More

The historic centre of Montreal, Vieux-Port is home to some of the city's most antiquated buildings and picturesque streets. Along the waters of the St. Lawrence River, the bank of Old Port features museums, festivals, food stalls, and outdoor athletics, a celebrated part of the city that explodes into fireworks displays on warm summer nights. At its centre, street performers and artists compete with
sprawling restaurant terraces for space along Jacques-Cartier Square, while the cobbled streets of Rue St. Paul and Rue Notre-Dame offer a reprieve of quiet galleries and atmospheric wine bars. Horse-drawn carriages are not an uncommon part of traffic, and the narrows they traverse are lined with boutiques, crêperies, and poutine shops enshrined in buildings of stone and wooden lattices. Here you can evoke Montreal's past with a traditional cooking lesson or historical tour, then enjoy its artistic present with live music and theatre.

Just wanted to help clarify the above responses, which might seem to contradict each other. The Montreal cruise terminal is an easy 5 minute walk from the Bonaparte, but it was closed for about a year for renovations and during that time the cruise lines provided a free shuttle from the terminal location to wherever their ships happened to be docked. I just confirmed that the cruise terminal reopened two days ago, so you should be good to go.
