Great proximity to the downtown. The street it's on is a bit sketchy. It was loud at night but that didn't bother us at all. The hotel was quite worn down. Our room was ok. The paint was peeling off the walls and ceilings and the bathroom was not clean enough for my standards and the shower drain was clogged....

Our trip was short, just overnight and this hotel was the best choice. It's all about location and this place has it all! Extremely helpful staff, clean rooms and very affordable to boot. Will be back for sure!

Few bullet points for anyone looking at this place. It's on a street with a bunch of bars... So be prepared for a crowd and noise. A little run down but bathroom was clean and bed was good. Website says "private parking" lot beside hotel... It's privately owned, no affiliation with the hotel according to front desk. So be prepared...

Well aside from being close to the Bell Center this hotel offers very little. We waited over 20 mins to check in as there was only 1 attendent for over 8 guests waiting. The hotel is a converted older apartment which is fine if it had been renovated it in the last 30 years. You not dare walk on the...

Great location. Bed and bath very clean. Bathroom has nice new fixtures. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was free and excellent. Not a diamond star but overall I would recommend it. Clean is the most important thing to me and it was.

Stayed recently at the Comfort Suites Downtown because we were traveling on a tight budget. Can't say anything about the hotel impressed us or upset us. It was just sort of...meh. The hotel has a small footprint - there are only eight rooms per floor. Our room was at the end of the hall which meant we lost a bit...

Good location, close to Centre Bell. A bar/restaurant street - guess its a lot of people / noise in the summer. Booked this place because of the price. And you get what you pay for. Not much attention to details. Door to balconny couldnt be closed 100%. Had to use a blanket to prevet the cold coming in. Lampshades on...

Was expecting a new facility. The place looked old and nothing like the pictures showed. I was disappointed with my choice of stay for the price we paid. The comfort Inn was in the ideal location for the Bell Center.

Close to all downtown attractions, location is big factor. Staff (front desk and housekeeping) friendly and helpful. However, hallways (at least on 14th floor) looks quite grungy with skuff marks on walls and borders, hand prints. Room itself adequate, comfortable and clean. Liked the sofa bed area. Bed is large and comfortable. Overall the attractive room contrasts with the grungy...

Stayed here for 2 nights over the weekend. Location is great - right next to the main shopping street of Saint Catherine. It's also only a 10 minute walk from Mont Royal - which I highly recommend for a great walk to find a great view. We even did it in sneakers when there was snow on the ground. Tons...

Staying in Centre-Ville (Downtown)

Neighbourhood Profile
Centre-Ville (Downtown)
Montreal's towering skyline is concentrated in the Downtown area, its nexus of commerce and commercialism. A suffusion of luxury hotels, flagship stores, high-end restaurants, and corporate headquarters characterize the neighborhood, which by nightfall transforms from a business district into a youth-culture hotspot, with hip bars, clubs, and restaurants heavily peopled by students and young professionals. The once-seat of millionaire's 'Golden Square Mile', an incongruity of stately mansions and dapper brownstones sit between glass skyscrapers, creating a visually lush urban landscape. Beneath the sidewalks lay the Underground City, the world's largest below-ground mall, a labyrinth of over 1,500 shops and eateries that echo the profusion of cafes, gallerias, cinemas, and fashion outlets above. From the scholarly array at McGill University to the carousing crowds of Rue Crescent, visit Downtown to shop by day for what you'll wear there by night.
