I spent four nights at Le petit hotel last week and had a very pleasant stay. The Queen Room price is very fair, the room was modern and comfortable. The air conditioning motor has an odd habit of suddenly churning away at full speed rather like a jet aircraft. Rather alarming at 3 am. The breakfast is rather minimal but...

Was just here one night but loved the location. It is close to some of my favourite spots in Old Montreal and a nice walk to the canal. The hotel is cute and funky. I liked I could get a hot tea in the lobby anytime and the continental breakfast was simple but very good. The room was very nice...

Not only is this a great hotel - very clean, very cute rooms with great amenities; but because it's right off the highway and near public transportation it's a great launching pad to explore everything Montreal has to offer. Yes, it's in the "tourist" section, but with staff that are eager to offer great recommendations and tips for using public...

Le Petite Hotel is a small boutique hotel located in the heart of Old Montreal. The friendly, attentive service is a big part of the hotel's accolades. We received great restaurant and site-seeing recommendations as well as concierge service, all served with a smile. The rooms were small but clean and updated with plush bedding. Breakfast is also included. It...

A nice welcome and really good staff , inclusive breakfast continental and a spacious room with power shower . Good recommendations for local restaurants in the old town area . My view is , a little tired , and the soundproofing was less than satisfactory, with the staircase above us , and corridor noise . The bed was comfortable but...

Le Petit is fabulous. An ideal location in Old Montreal with the friendliest of staff. The room was modern, but cozy. Shower and bathroom is top notch and one of the comfiest beds that allowed me one of the best nights sleep. Don't miss the delicious morning breakfast. We'll be back!

Breakfast was delish and included... they bring you a perfect cup of coffee too!! The hotel is in a perfect location to get where you want to go and there...

Really great location if you want to explore the Old Town, though the "real" Montreal is a bit of a mostly uphill walk away. Lovely centuries-old building, lovingly restored and updated. Friendly staff for the most part, though the night guy when we checked in was aloof and haughty. Rooms smallish but not too small.

This was a business trip. My client secured the reservations for this hotel in Old Town. The room was exceptionally appointed although a little small, but then that was part of it's character. Everyone from the reception staff to those taking care of breakfast were exceptionally polite and accommodating. Nearly everyone spoke French and English. I certainly wish I could...

Staying in Vieux-Montreal (Old Montreal)

Neighbourhood Profile
Vieux-Montreal (Old Montreal)
The historic centre of Montreal, Vieux-Port is home to some of the city's most antiquated buildings and picturesque streets. Along the waters of the St. Lawrence River, the bank of Old Port features museums, festivals, food stalls, and outdoor athletics, a celebrated part of the city that explodes into fireworks displays on warm summer nights. At its centre, street performers and artists compete with sprawling restaurant terraces for space along Jacques-Cartier Square, while the cobbled streets of Rue St. Paul and Rue Notre-Dame offer a reprieve of quiet galleries and atmospheric wine bars. Horse-drawn carriages are not an uncommon part of traffic, and the narrows they traverse are lined with boutiques, crêperies, and poutine shops enshrined in buildings of stone and wooden lattices. Here you can evoke Montreal's past with a traditional cooking lesson or historical tour, then enjoy its artistic present with live music and theatre.
