I stayed for two nights in this hotel and I would have rather stayed in a hostel. Would I have known that it was so dirty, unkempt, filthy, smelly and simply gross. I have stayed in worse places but at least they were clean!!!! Hotel manager: you are running a business where people sleep, use the bathroom and eat in...

I was there for an extended period of several months on business travel, so budget was a priority. The location in Plateau Mont Royal is excellent. However in terms of service at the hotel...not so much. Staff was at times polite and friendly, and at other times inconsiderate and neglectful of the basic needs of their guests. As a side...

Can they even be labelled as civilized citizens? People? Inconsiderate, selfish, overly money driven, thinks only with their anguish and anger and resentment. Indeed no way, should anyone should even apply here.

Horrible customer service. If you try to contact the owner about any changes or have questions he is so rude and hangs up on you. Don't stay here. You will find much nicer places that are cleaner with amazing customer service on Air Bnb.

Booked this room as a cheap place to stay for my boyfriend and I (both students) to spend thanksgiving in Montreal. We had room 6, and it was much nicer than I thought in terms of cleanliness and looks. The location was amazing, steps from the Mont-Royal Metro station and the 24 hour café right underneath the motel was so...

Amazing hidden hotel for anyone trying to stay in the heart of the plateau for cheap. It is clearly not a fancy high class hotel but it was a small, clean and very nice place to lay our heads after a long day of exploring the town on bixi bikes. I would not have afforded to do as much without...

My goal was a cheap room to sleep in for a few days in Montreal that wasn't a hostel. I was a little nervous after reading reviews on TA so I set my expectations properly. Before I even left the US I began a working communication with David via text and phone. He was essential in making my stay a...

If your main concern is being in a bustling bar district, with lots of fun book, vinyl and vintage shopping to do, this lodging could not be better located. It's literally steps from the Mont royal metro stop, and overlooks that little plaza. But be warned, this is a hostel, not a hotel. The main feature that distinguishes it from...

I booked a night here via Priceline.com and accidentally entered the wrong date. I emailed the owner Giovanny immediately to change the booking to the day I was actually going to be in Montreal, and got NO REPLY. And then they charged me for the my stay! Don't stay here - it's the worst customer service I've ever experienced and...

Staying in Le Plateau Mont-Royal

Neighbourhood Profile
Le Plateau Mont-Royal
Go native in Plateau Mont-Royal, where bespoke shopping, hip eateries, and wacky paint jobs attract locals and transplants alike, making it one of the city's most diverse and distinctly authentic experiences. A creative hub, Montreal's artistic elite pack the cafes along Rue Saint-Denis, where young painters and fashion designers draw inspiration from the playful murals and stately Victorian homes that dot the Plateau's side streets. Not a major sightseeing destination, a visit to Plateau Mont-Royal allows you to enjoy a local perspective, soaking in indie films, latte art, contemporary galleries, and the city's best bagels. A center of polyglot culture, Québécois accents mingle with shades of Portuguese, Greek, and Hebrew in the area's iconic Mile End district, where restaurants straddle chic designer boutiques, serving up chorizo and caldo verde. Friendliest to those on foot, it's a jungle of colourful awnings and sidewalk umbrellas, pedestrian walks and luxury shopping.
