We enjoyed our two night stay here. Gilles is a wonderful host, friendly, helpful with suggestions, and served a delicious breakfast. The room was comfortable, had a balcony on the street side, and there was a common area available for guests. The location was very convenient, a few minutes walk to the Préfontaine subway and bus, and a short walk...

Some of the roads we drove down when we arrived in Montreal I must say made me feel a little nervous to where we would be staying, but as in all big cities there are good and bad areas. When we arrived at this B and B I knew we had made a good choice. This is a well kept...

Perfect B&B hosted by Gilles. We had a comfortable room with modern features, spotlessly clean, nice amenities and it was very quiet. Gilles was a great host and was so helpful as he offered local knowledge, tips on public transportation and even took us up the street our first night to show us neighborhood restaurants and the Provigo grocery store...

We arrived on a Friday and stayed 3 nights in busy Montreal. We drove our rental car to Le Gite Dezery and it was easy to find with adequate parking right on Dezery street. The area is upcoming and trendy - close to what use to be the old CPR railroad repair yards. Plenty of restaurants and grocery stores close...

A wonderful place to stay only 30 minutes from a great golf course (Isle de Montreal) and walking distance from an upscale restaurant (La Barake). But back to Le Gite Dezery. This little jewel is nestled on the quiet street of Dezery in Hochelaga district of Montreal near the Olympic Stadium. Our 2nd floor rooms faced the enclosed garden at...

Gilles is a most gracious host at Le Gite Dézèry. The rooms are all beautifully decorated. The beds are comfortable. The bathrooms are outstanding and posh! Breakfasts are varied and delicious. Staying in Rosemont-La Petite-Patrie

Neighbourhood Profile
Rosemont-La Petite-Patrie
Rosemont-La Petite-Patrie has one of Canada's most prominent Italian communities, with Little Italy concentrated along the convivial bends of Saint-Lawrence Boulevard. Known for its fantastic bars and authentic Italian fare, the domain includes the Jean-Talon Market, the largest public market in North America. Open year-round, sunny months see fruit and vegetable stalls set up outside the main chalet, while blustery weather draws crowds indoors to meat and cheese sellers, spices and truffles stalls, and for regional delicacies such as rare Charlevoix lamb. While the market dictates what's fresh for local restaurateurs, visitors can please more than their palates, taking in the Renaissance architecture and frescos of Madonna della Difesa, the picturesque Rue Saint-Rominique with its cheerful homes and splendid gardens, or the ornamented thoroughfare of Plaza Saint-Hubert.
