Hotel is beautiful, well and tastefully decorated. Room had a really great view, especially from the soaker tub. Staff was top notch, courteous and went above and beyond. Fitness centre was good. When we stay downtown for an evening this will be our go to place going forward. A very very enjoyable stay, what one would expect from a top...

I never do reviews like these but my most recent stay at Shangri-La was very unpleasant and I felt like no one was there to take care of us. Seriously not 5-star. Go somewhere else. My boyfriend and I decided to stay at the Shangri-La for our anniversary and I have to say, you can probably stay at the Holiday...

Very friendly staff, very good service. Well appointed room with a nice view from the 15th floor. The lobby is quite busy on weekends with live music. The atmosphere at Bosque restaurant could be little more intimate. Overall a very pleasant stay. And thank you so much for the treats for our anniversary!!!!!!!!!!

As overpriced as this is, this is one of the best luxury chains in the world and can't be beat. I would highly recommend everyone staying in a Shangri-La at least once in your life. It is very conveniently located in Toronto and has great choices of restaurants on the bottom level (bosk), or adjacent (Momofuku). The facilities are incredible...

This is a luxurious hotel with fantastic amenities. Stay in the heart of the city and walk to many local attractions. The rooms are gorgeous and are the quietest I have ever experienced. Staying in Downtown West

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown West
Downtown West is home to Toronto's gorgeous Inner Harbor, and is a must-visit for lovers of art and the outdoors. The area's rich cultural heritage is celebrated by a number of monuments and museums, giving the neighborhood a mature feel. As a premier destination for modern art, people here stroll through the cool contemporary pieces at the Power Plant, enjoy the outdoor installations along Queen's Quay and Canoe Landing, and picnic among the zany designs of the Toronto Music Garden. The waterfront itself is often suffused with bikers and joggers, and the harbor is always packed with classic ships with masts raised. The vintage boats and ferries to the Toronto Islands make for a charming contrast against Downtown West's backdrop of skyscrapers, condos, and food trucks serving up hot, fresh fare to locals on the go. The area has a peaceful energy, and is popular with tourists and Torontonians alike.
