Stayed for 3 nights at Le Germain Toronto. Prices were good and service was excellent. Very pretty modern décor, comfortable beds and nice bathrooms. Not far from shopping areas (by taxis), CN Tower. Did not eat at their restaurant, so I cannot comment on it. Nespresso coffee machine in the room, truly a bonus! Truly enjoyed the restaurants recommended. Great...

For many years one Le Germain property had eluded me, it was becoming a joke. I had been welcomed at a reception and ate in their restaurant (amazing food, by the way) but had never stayed the night. Spoiler: worth the wait. A polite, professional and non intrusive welcome. Marvelous. The room renovations were recently completed to perfection. Nothing of...

Just wrapping up our first visit to Hotel Le Germain in Toronto. The hotel is hidden away on Mercer street in an area known for clubs and restaurants (at least to me). This hotel was very comfortable, spacious rooms, good breakfast, lovely staff - excellent concierge that gave us great tips for our road-trip to Niagara Falls - and very well located, only a short walk to many restaurants and points of interest. Staying in Downtown West

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown West
Downtown West is home to Toronto's gorgeous Inner Harbor, and is a must-visit for lovers of art and the outdoors. The area's rich cultural heritage is celebrated by a number of monuments and museums, giving the neighborhood a mature feel. As a premier destination for modern art, people here stroll through the cool contemporary pieces at the Power Plant, enjoy the outdoor installations along Queen's Quay and Canoe Landing, and picnic among the zany designs of the Toronto Music Garden. The waterfront itself is often suffused with bikers and joggers, and the harbor is always packed with classic ships with masts raised. The vintage boats and ferries to the Toronto Islands make for a charming contrast against Downtown West's backdrop of skyscrapers, condos, and food trucks serving up hot, fresh fare to locals on the go. The area has a peaceful energy, and is popular with tourists and Torontonians alike.
