I stayed here several times between 2007 and 2012, usually for 1 or 2 weeks at a time. Ideally suited for working at University of Toronto as I was. Many restaurants and bars just a short walk away. Staff very friendly and approachable. Best of all are the properties themselves --- they're decorated in excellent taste. I will be staying...

While the two rooms we stayed in, and the home itself is lovely, several details are sub-par for this downtown Toronto location compared to B&Bs in the neighbourhood. Black mould on shower curtains, burnt out lightbulbs, wall patching without paint, rusty nail in shower stall wall, stale breakfast cereal and over-boiled eggs, and duvets without covers. The central air is...

We remember you well. We are surprised to hear your comments about our hostess, who typically receives very positive reviews from our guests for her professionalism and courteous and helpful nature. Regarding the air conditioning, we responded immediately to your concerns during your stay, and explained that you had complete control of the air conditioning - you could turn it...

We searched B & B web sites for a place near China Town because we like to tour around that area of Toronto. After a few calls to places I chose Beverley Place on Beverley St. because my name is Beverley. We had a great May 24th weekend there and will go back not just because of the name but...

If you are the BnBs kind of type and you are looking for a stylish and affordable place downtown Toronto, then you should seriously consider Beverley Place. Located just a block from the A.G.O. and just literally steps away from Dundas Square, Chinatown, Kensington Market and the University, these two Victorian houses are quiet and simply gorgeous. We chose the...

So Beverley Place was our first stop on our tri-legged (Toronto-Montreal-Quebec) tour. Our other two BnBs were so astoundingly great that this place just pales in comparison. Hence it lost a star :) We were travelling with a 15 month old and my review is obviously a reflection of that. First the pros : Safe and convinient location Decent house...

It was quite a surprise to read a review such as yours. We remember you well and must address the issue at hand. 1.) Yes, we do have three prices. That could have been explained at each call, had we known more about what you were looking for. 2.) We have a room that would have accommodated your needs; both...

I am so glad I discovered Beverley Place! The houses were just exquisite and right in the heart of the city (very rare in such a large city). Every detail is attended to in these restored Victorian houses: soft and luxurious linens, grand pianos, fireplaces, a tasteful and delicious breakfast, a gorgeous courtyard that makes you feel you've travelled back...

We stayed at the Beverley while in town for a conference. The staff are friendly and helpful, the rooms are beautiful, and the breakfast delicious. The location of the B&B was close to Chinatown, Kensington Market, and about a 20 minute, nice walk to downtown. Highly recommended!

I have stayed at Beverley Place twice in the past two years. Both times the rooms were elegant and comfortable. The location is perfect - walking distance to the University, shopping, dining and entertainment. Staff is very professional and helpful. I've stayed 3 times, the last time last time for two weeks in November 2011. Everything about my experience was positive : the turn of the century homes (there are 2) have been restored to their original elegance. The facilities are clean, directly accessible to downtown by a few blocks walking distance. The breakfast options were tasty and generous amounts...

Neighbourhood Profile
Chinatown
Toronto's main Chinatown has the honor of being the largest in North America. Gaping down across Dundas Street West and Spadina Avenue, the area is a wonderful medley of shops and restaurants, busy signs and bright red gates, a destination for foodie fun. Chinatown's streets are always bustling, packed with people and outdoor stalls hawking fresh produce and products. The restaurants and authentic marketplaces that shoulder in against each other display shining roast ducks and menus studded with dumplings and noodle bowls. The air is pervaded with music. different languages, and the smell of fried food and mouth-watering desserts. Chinatown's restaurants represent a broad range of fare, from traditional Szechuan and Shanghai foods, to other Asian delicacies, including some of the top Japanese, Vietnamese, and Korean spots in the city.
