This hotel had the best of everything I wanted, and more. I LOVED the technology of holding your room card in a slot by the door, which gives you control of all the room's lighting switches. Great bed lighting, and night stands, and amazing spacious yet private areas of the bathroom. Appreciated the darkening blinds and amazing bed and feather...

i stayed together with my sister a weekend in the hotel and we both were amazed about the very friendly and helpful stuff as well about the room, which was equipped with everything we needed (e.g. phantastic expresso fresh from a mashine in the room). the price was not cheap but the relation between price and service was very good....

I stayed at Le Germain for a month for a business trip. Overall, the stay was enjoyable but there could be improvements. Staff was definitely courteous, friendly and professional. Both the check-in and check-out process was really fast and easy. They also helped arrange a cab for me to get to the airport. The room was spacious and was nicely...

Stayed in this hotel at the start of our holiday to Toronto and surrounding area and could not fault it for location, standard and price. The room was huge with lots of nice touches including mood lighting, great shower and Molton Brown toiletries, engraved glasses and nespresso machine. Not to mention an impressive view of the CN tower (not all...

The staff is great and the room was fine (Signature Suite). Everything had a European flair to it. The staff was exceptionally accommodating as we arrived late morning and they were able to settle us into our room. They arranged very early morning transportation for us and got us going with no hassles. The continental breakfast was more than adequate....

This is probably the best hotel we have ever stayed at ever, we would come back to Toronto just to experience the pleasure of this place again. It was classy and luxurious without being pretentious, great location also.

We stayed at Le Germain on the weekend of the Toronto Waterfront Marathon in October. The location, on Maple Leaf Square, is ideal in my opinion. You are walking distance to ACC, Rogers Centre, tons of restaurants and theatres and Union Station. This IS a 5-star hotel. The staff at check-in, check-out, and during the entire stay were very good....

We stayed here for a series of Blue Jays games (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) at the end of August of 2015 and our jaws hit the floor as soon as we walked in! We didn't really know what to expect but this place by far exceeded what our expectations may have been. The staff were very mindful, helpful, always asking if...

The attention to detail at this hotel exceeds expectation. Clean, beautifully designed and with all of the amenities and features you could possibly ask for. Complimentary Nespresso machines in each room. Food was exceptional. Breakfast was included. Having stayed at the Germain in Montreal earlier this year, I can say that this hotel has a level of quality you do...

Staying in Downtown West

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown West
Downtown West is home to Toronto's gorgeous Inner Harbor, and is a must-visit for lovers of art and the outdoors. The area's rich cultural heritage is celebrated by a number of monuments and museums, giving the neighborhood a mature feel. As a premier destination for modern art, people here stroll through the cool contemporary pieces at the Power Plant, enjoy the outdoor installations along Queen's Quay and Canoe Landing, and picnic among the zany designs of the Toronto Music Garden. The waterfront itself is often suffused with bikers and joggers, and the harbor is always packed with classic ships with masts raised. The vintage boats and ferries to the Toronto Islands make for a charming contrast against Downtown West's backdrop of skyscrapers, condos, and food trucks serving up hot, fresh fare to locals on the go. The area has a peaceful energy, and is popular with tourists and Torontonians alike.
