Holiday Inn Toronto Downtown Centre Hotel Toronto ,
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of
vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.

As some have said there hotels closer to activities for children. However, as you noted you are closer to where your daughter needs to go and the hotel will welcome the kids. Plus, the hotel is far less expensive than the ones near Rogers Centre. You are a short subway ride to the downtown core from the HI hotel you're staying at.

You can book a tour to Niágara falls when you check in the hotel. There is a counter, right after the entrance, where you can do that. We got a one day tour and it was ok. It also includes a visit to Niágara on the Lake and to a winery (a short visiting and tasting
to purchase some wines). But you can get to Niágara by your self, renting a car or by bus (there are regular ones).
