When we checked in our room was not ready. A German tour group was checking in at the same time. Our friends' room was ready so we left our luggage there and went out to tour the city and have supper. Upon our return our room key did not work. When we went to the front desk we were told...

Clean hotel located right in downtown. Front desk clerks were very helpful with travel information for the two days that we were there. Left on the VIA train which was convenient to hotel. Between check out and the departure of the evening train, the hotel had a baggage room.

Know what you are looking for. Best price can mean no gym or extra space for a desk in the room. That said, good value, clean and cool and a retro kind of way. I did like the eco-friendly soap and shampoo dispensing in the bathrooms. Far less waste!

Room was clean but very basic and you could hear noise from above and on your floor. Standard price is ok given the location(around $200 with possible breakfast). We paid more than what it was worth ($280+ no breakfast). When I asked staff about the excessive increase in price I was advised that it was due to a mining convention...

The location is really good, downtown in walking distance of great restaurants and the main central station, but that's it. My reservation said breakfast was included, but the front desk said it wasn't. The rooms were tiny, I heard every time someone on my floor closed their doors, the shades did not close properly which made it very hard for...

Stayed to watch the Leafs game, the room was clean and the staff were really nice! My stay was extraordinarily nice, great to see the high degree of professionalism from the staff. Would definitely recommend this hotel for anyone looking to stay the night in Toronto.

Super well located. 30 mins from airport .5 minutes walk from air Canada centre and cn tower. Clean room, but not super big. Could be an issue if you are 2 guests and stay there for a long period of time. Wifi was fast. Good value for the price they charge. Will return for sure .

Stayed one night to attend a Raptors game. The hotel located in an excellent location. A 4 minute walk from union station and about 7 minutes to the ACC. The rooms are very small . Not really big enough if your traveling with kids but great for a couple. We had the breakfast downstairs in the morning which was good...

I was pleasantly surprised to find the rooms to be clean and included everything we needed. The bed was comfy and the temperature could be controlled by a thermostat or opening the window. The hotel did echo quite a bit but they have a 0 tolorance for noise so the late night crowd was rarely heard. We brought a white...

Staying in Downtown West

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown West
Downtown West is home to Toronto's gorgeous Inner Harbor, and is a must-visit for lovers of art and the outdoors. The area's rich cultural heritage is celebrated by a number of monuments and museums, giving the neighborhood a mature feel. As a premier destination for modern art, people here stroll through the cool contemporary pieces at the Power Plant, enjoy the outdoor installations along Queen's Quay and Canoe Landing, and picnic among the zany designs of the Toronto Music Garden. The waterfront itself is often suffused with bikers and joggers, and the harbor is always packed with classic ships with masts raised. The vintage boats and ferries to the Toronto Islands make for a charming contrast against Downtown West's backdrop of skyscrapers, condos, and food trucks serving up hot, fresh fare to locals on the go. The area has a peaceful energy, and is popular with tourists and Torontonians alike.
