I arranged for a work group to stay here for almost a month. Its a great location and the hotel was nice enough but the we ran into numerous problems with the billing. Two of our team were over-charged for two weeks of parking. The reward points system is a joke. We waited for over a month and have called...

Great location right on Yonge and Gerrard. 10-15 minutes walk will bring you to many attractions and restaurants. The concierge was friendly and referred us to some restaurants nearby. We were on one of the upper floors (10+). The room was clean and the beds comfortable. We appreciated the electric hot water kettle in the room. The washroom was a...

The last time I went to the Chelsea they had undertaken renovations which made the lobby and restaurant look much brighter and inviting. At the time I said "we'll see". Well, i went again, saw and left. I booked 3 nights and after an insane night of constantly waking up with the jet engine-like HVAC system I cancelled my stay...

Even though the Eaton Chelsea is slightly dated, the overall hotel is a great place to stay. The location is really second to none as it is close to all the "hot spots" in Toronto. The parking is directly under the hotel and access to the hotel floors is very efficient. There is a nice selection of restaurants to suit...

Had to go to Toronto for family business and knowing how busy we'd be, we really didn't want to spend a whole lot for amenities we would never take advantage of. Admittedly I was reluctant to revisit the Chelsea as my last visit 8 years ago was less than pleasant but glad I decided to give it a second go....

This hotel is something like 1400-1600 rooms, It's certainly very faulty towers at times. I lower my expectations and let errors slide for this reason, but if a hotel cannot manage the sheet volume of guests that it is has it's a reflection of poor staff and/or training. I stayed twice at this hotel 12 days all in total. The...

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
