My friend and me spent a week here, I think it is more for business and air crews rather than families. My friend booked through Trailfinders as we were flying to Ottawa for the second week. We got a very good deal in our opinion. Beware though when booking says twin bedded it means a double bed at this hotel....

I stayed here for 8 nights in May 2015 while visiting Toronto on vacation. I have stayed at this hotel a few time before, when it was still owned by Delta. It's a decent hotel that has had a few minor renovations done since being acquired by Langham Hotels. The hotel is in the heart of downtown Toronto, on the...

The Eaton Chelsea is a convenient location. Very busy hotel so check-in is slow. It is old so hallways are a little dingy. The room was clean and bright. It serves its purpose as a place to sleep when we are in Toronto for an event and don't want to drive home. Only worth it if you get a package....

This is the largest hotel in Canada and is in a great location. The staff was friendly checking us in and gave us a free upgrade. Room had a balcony which was a bonus. Good water pressure for the shower. Great mattress. I am giving it a 2 rating because there were a lot of elevator problems and we ended...

The Chelsea gives new meaning to the title. An average room for over $300 a night is all about location. If on business the Chelsea is a good hotel for downtown Toronto but if with your family paying yourself, stay some where else. The room was average, the halls needed a refresh and the ice machine on our floor did...

The only good thing was the location, apart from that there's nothing to praise, starting from the rude and unprofessional staff to the so called newly renovated rooms that smell horrible, A/C doesn't work to cool or warm or just to ventilate the smelly room, small in size, small bed, barely some amenities thrown in the bathroom, don't let me...

I attended the Eaton Chelsea for the OASW conference and it was well organized by hotel staff. The food was really good. The elevator system is a bit confusing but once you get used to it, it is not an issue. The location was perfect close to train station and city center.

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
