Wonderful experience, hotel in Downtown Toronto is very family friendly. Family Fun Zone on 2nd floor features Cork-screw Water Slide, 2 pools, playroom with toys, children's books, and 2 live rabbits. Adult Fitness Centre on 27th floor has pools and health spa. Staff is very friendly and helpful.

The heat didn't work in our room. It was -2 outside. Their solution? Not an offer for a different room. Instead, an old portable heater that didn't heat the size of the room and made a squeaky scratchy noise all night. When I complained the next day via phone call to the manager, I was offered a PARKING CREDIT. Seriously?...

This is my favorite Toronto hotel. You're a quick walk to the Eaton centre and a short cab from porter or the train station. I've stayed here over a dozen times and am always happy w my room. I would suggest you get your breakfast somewhere else. My last breakfast (coffee, bagel and yogurt) was nearly $15! Overall: highly recommend!

Great location, the gym and pool area on the 27th floor was excellent, with a magnificent view. I would suggest not eating in the hotel though. Lots of great restaurants and bars only steps away. The balconies need to be cleaned, they were covered with pigeon poop.

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
