The Grand Hotel was a nice place to stay for our 3 nights in Toronto, Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was of normal size and bed was comfy, location is good, 10 min walk to the Eaton centre and Subway station or 3 mins on the tram. Dinner food was nice, the complimentary breakfast was fine also. Convenience store...

I stayed at the Grand Hotel for 6 weeks in a row (a few days/nights at a time). It has been the most un-personal experience I have ever experienced at a hotel. The staff acted as if it is my first time there every time I checked-in. They repeated the same old schtick ("Can I see a piece of ID...

The Grand hotel made our weekend a very memorable and luxurious. The rooms are very well organized allowing for privacy for my mother and I to each have our own sleep zone. Extremely clean everywhere throughout the hotel as well. We have nothing but positive comments from our stay- rooftop hot tubs were magical, received a welcome gift, opened up...

Just returned from a 4 night stay at the Grand Hotel, on Jarvis Street, and I must say I was very impressed. This was our first trip as a family to Canada so we wanted to make it memorable and we couldn't have picked a better place and location. Grand Hotel is just off of Downtown Toronto so ideally placed...

Older hotel but location is good. Bellman/Doorman very helpful. There is a shuttle to the downtown area...but we walked. Breakfast buffet has lots of options. I am Vegan so fresh fruit and toast was available. Cow's Milk alternatives were available. Pool was perfect. Beds comfortable and nice and clean.

Although we only had a one night stop here, we thoroughly enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere and high quality of the rooms and services. We especially enjoyed an early morning hour spent in the Jacuzzis on the top floor of the hotel. Conveniently located, with excellent and attentive staff. We would certainly visit again.

Went to Toronto on the weekend for my 40th school reunion. How fun was that!!!! We chose the Grand as our home base and what a great choice. It was elegant, friendly, welcoming, and cozy as a boutique hotel. Workout facilities were perfect. For the second year, we are back to the Grand Hotel & Suites in Toronto. The facilities are perfect for business travel and for vacationers. All staff members were eager to help and went above expectations once again. Even after we checked out, the front desk was able to help with a limo arrangement made for later in the day....

Gorgeous views and hotel/room. The location was so convenient to everything in Toronto and the best part was the amazing front desk that had help for every question. The hot tubs on the roof were awesome but sadly they didn't play a movie while we were there. The Free breakfast was nice and above a normal hotel breakfast. One server...

We had initially booked another hotel, but decided to switch to this one for the following reasons: - Free Wi-Fi - Cheaper parking (19$/night vs 50$/night for the other one) - Friendly staff ratings :) - Location Pros: - Very friendly staff - Very good food: Had pasta as room service and breakfast was included in the price. It might...

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
