Started our trip here. Our deluxe suite was very well appointed with a really good bathroom. Nothing was too much trouble - although I have to agree with a review below that the complimentary breakfast is a bit 'odd' - whilst they never pushed any extras (which they perhaps ought to do) the simple offering could be improved. However our... More

Just spent 3 vacation days here with my family. Location is perfect. Staff very accommodating and helpful. Rooms clean, spacious and comfortable. Just a few weird aspects to elements of their service which should not happen in a hotel of this caliber. The breakfast service is best described as odd. Though lots of staff around trying to be helpful simple... More

We spent one night here as a birthday getaway and loved everything about it, with the one exception of not being able to get the air conditioning cold enough. The hotel has beautiful old world charm and is very well maintained in all areas. The bathrooms are spacious and well appointed, and the beds are fitted with Frette sheets. I... More

The deluxe details are an integral part of the old world ambience with modern amenities. Garnier-Thiebault French towels, marble counters, Jacuzzi tub, ipod station controls in bathroom, warm rich woods, in room espresso maker. Impeccable service with gracious hospitality. The hotel has returned to a traditional décor, imposing crown moldings with warm burnt orange fabric touches in dust ruffle and... More

This boutique hotel located in the Yorkville District is beautifully appointed and staffed by knowledgable enthusiastic personnel. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and quiet. Access to the city is easy either through readily available taxis or the subway located within two blocks. Suggestions offered by the concierge for offsite meals were excellent as well. This is the base for our... More

I stayed at this hotel last year when I was in town for the Toronto Film Festival and will definitely be staying again this year! I have never experienced a hotel with a more attentive staff than the Windsor Arms. I love my bed at home and I'm rarely impressed with a hotel beds, but wow. This place truly had... More

What a wonderful find! This is a beautiful boutique, all-suite hotel in a quiet street just off Bloor Street West. It was my birthday and we decided to stay the night in the city and take in a restaurant. On arrival, we were upgraded from a junior suite to a Deluxe Suite – a great start and puts you in... More

What a sweet gem of a hotel. It feels very small and boutique but offers all entities of a larger hotel. A charming little lobby with very warm staff, from the doormen to the desk attendants all were friendly and helpful. It is situated in a quiet street off the main road, close to the university and shopping and transit... More

From the moment we walked through the door we were greeted by friendly, attentive staff members who took care of our every need. The majority of the hotel is an older style building that has been elegantly updated. Our room was clean and spacious, though not overly so, and the hallways were quiet and private. It is not cheap for... More

I stayed here for a wedding and was truly impressed by the comfort and decor of our suite (the one with the guitar on the wall) and the friendliness of the staff (with one exception). The old hotel has been lovingly restored with all the modern amenities including an espresso machine in the room and lots of space. The halls... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
Midtown is a dynamic part of Toronto with some of its most stylish high-rise residences and heritage buildings. The area sees busy shoppers with bag-laden arms balancing lattes in paper cups as they travel from one luxury brand to the next, taking advantage of the proximity of high-end shops. The reflecting pools, jogging trails, and nature treks of the Rosehill Revision are always a hub of outdoor activity, and after a workout from either running or splurging, many take advantage of the spas and massage parlors Midtown has to offer. Away from the bakeries, boutiques, and glamorous old theaters of the district's center, locals use the weekend to embrace the more suburban feel of Midtown's parks, tennis courts, outdoor markets, and the manicured grounds of Casa Loma, while families indulge the area's state-of-the-art playground and learning facilities. Of course, no high-brow district is complete without a healthy counter-culture: Midtown boasts some of the wildest street art and full-wall graffiti of any neighborhood in Toronto.
