If you want a good night's sleep, stay far-far away from this hotel. Here's why: My wife and I booked a night at this hotel as our first night away from our 15-month old daughter. We thought we'd finally get a good night’s sleep. The hotel has a very quiet, old world feel to it. It seemed like a very...

This is one of my favourite places for either afternoon or twilight tea. There is a good selection of teas and the sandwiches, scones and deserts are never disappointing! The service is exceptional and the wait staff are efficient and experienced. The setting is comfortable as well. I have never been disappointed. The hotel's food is exceptional as are the...

Spent lots and lots of time researching hotels to spend NYE at in Toronto, finally settling on the Windsor Arms. Everything about this experience was phenomenal, starting with our free room upgrade upon check-in. The butler was funny and charming, and did not hesitate to provide us with anything we needed! We didn't attend the party hosted by the hotel,...

What was once a iconic hotel has lost its luster. Overpriced, uncomfortable beds, bathrooms in desperate need renovations. Terrible room service, noisy. When I complained they did not care. They have lost a customer. There are so many better choices in the Yorkville area.

We love to travel and always look for something special. We love the 'grand hotel' and also 'boutique' hotel style. This hotel is the combination of both. We were in the deluxe suit, it was comfortable and large with two children. The hotel is beautiful and the service is perfect with really polite, serviceful and friendly staff. Our favourite were...

We stayed in one of the one bedroom suites and had s wonderful stay. We were greeted by Kevin at reception who was extremely warm And friendly and had a great sense of humour. The breakfast staff also were extremely warm too, so would recommend this hotel for a relaxed stay in Toronto.

We were upgraded to a large room with a large bathroom. The decor was beautiful: very traditional, high-end fabrics, dark furniture, great woodwork. Service was excellent; anything problematic was addressed rapidly. The staff was warm and friendly, and we received wonderful restaurant suggestions. Two negatives: the bathrooms need a thorough updating, and the hotel, including our room and bathroom, needs...

I recently stayed at the Windsor Arms, a beautiful old relic from a different age. Pros: the rooms are spacious and staff is eager to please. Cons: although breakfast is included- for a 5 star hotel the buffet is quite limited and ordinary. What saves it is your choice of omelettes. The windows in the rooms don't open past 6"...

I stayed at the Windsor Arms Hotel on the night of my wedding. The hotel is in my favourite part of Toronto! Prior to my stay, I spoke with Danielle at the front desk. I told her about my upcoming stay and asked for a complimentary upgrade because I chose to stay at the Windsor Arms Hotel for my wedding...

Hi Dalhousie1 Thank you for choosing to stay at the Windsor Arms on your Wedding Night. I hope you enjoyed your stay. I want to apologize for the confusion at front desk. Unfortunately we do not guarantee complimentary upgrades prior to check-in. Your arrival was during a very busy time for us at the Windsor Arms, and while The Windsor...

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
