I was very pleased to have discovered this hotel in the Toronto harbour front area. Rooms are quiet and spacious, breakfast at the Watermark restaurant was excellent. dGreat front desk staff. Wonderful area for strolling.

Overall the hotel was lovely. I had two requests but only one was met. I asked for a high floor, which they did. I also asked for a city view but was given a room facing the pool. Aside from that everything else was good. I'd definitely stay again.

Strangely at first the lower room numbers are the better rooms. I had a premium suite on floor 3 because of the better views of the harbour and seafront. The room even had a telescope but it was broken. Pool small but OK with a bar and restaurant which were both surprisingly under used considering the size of the hotel....

There are slightly fancier hotels nearby at much higher prices but for my money this is the best value in downtown Toronto. This is not a new structure but has been so carefully renovated that the beautiful rooms are spacious and quiet. Most of the new rooms have hardwood floors and are completely dust free. They have good wifi and...

Staying in Downtown West

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown West
Downtown West is home to Toronto's gorgeous Inner Harbor, and is a must-visit for lovers of art and the outdoors. The area's rich cultural heritage is celebrated by a number of monuments and museums, giving the neighborhood a mature feel. As a premier destination for modern art, people here stroll through the cool contemporary pieces at the Power Plant, enjoy the outdoor installations along Queen's Quay and Canoe Landing, and picnic among the zany designs of the Toronto Music Garden. The waterfront itself is often suffused with bikers and joggers, and the harbor is always packed with classic ships with masts raised. The vintage boats and ferries to the Toronto Islands make for a charming contrast against Downtown West's backdrop of skyscrapers, condos, and food trucks serving up hot, fresh fare to locals on the go. The area has a peaceful energy, and is popular with tourists and Torontonians alike.
