Stayed here after our connection was missed at the airport, staff efficient and friendly. This hotel is currently under renovations and once completed it should be very nice. I would recommend for a short stay for sure. The beds extremely comfortable.

This hotel is under much needed major renovations. Room we stayed in was dirty with stained carpets, cracking walls, old dated furniture and a bathroom that needed a total gutting. The elevators during the day are being used by the construction crew and we waited 20 minutes for an elevator. Each time we left hotel we were aggressively approached by...

Avoid until the renovations are complete, especially for business travelers, unless you want to stay in a building site. I am aware all hotels need to be renovated, however the scale of this renovation is extremely disruptive and does not make for a pleasant stay. My first room on a newly renovated (but not quite finished) floor had no hot...

Ugh! This was a nightmare and if I had transportation there is no way I'd have stayed the night. Everything in the room was beat up, scratched, and nasty. And that might have been the best part of the place. I had to call right away to get the sheets changed, the room design was from the 70s, and the...

I enjoyed the cleanliness of the room, the location and the quiet atmosphere. The hotel is under renovation so this could be a problem with the elevator if there was a crowd. When I stayed, it was quiet so there was no problem at all. I did have a problem closing the drapes in the room. While I did check...

I spent 5 days at the hotel. The breakfast is simple but good. The price is fear. Location is good.I recommend the hotel to others. All shops and restaurant are in walking distance. Easy to use metro few blocks from the hotel. I rent car for one day and it was very simple to park at the hotel.

We came for 2 nights to see a concert. The hotel is being renovated, it definitely needs it. Our room didn't even have a fridge. Lots of noise, elevators aren't working. Beds are still comfy and it's close to downtown and Breakfast is edible. In my opinion they should just shut down while renovating, it's a headache!

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
