I felt the price was too high for this hotel. The room is very average, more like a motel. My bathroom had lots of hair on the floor and on the counter. The pool and gym area is very dated and in need of a refresh. Location is great, right in the city center!

I have stayed here several times given our company corporate rate. The positives are nice lobby and decent food as well as good location. They do a nice business meeting with lunch, etc. However the rooms are outdated, not well decorated and not all that clean. The rooms are legit tired, old and dingy and could benefit from a serious...

We enjoyed all the room had to offer. It covers all the wants an overnight traveller could want. Comfortable bed and pillows, large bathroom, quiet heating system, safe and great coffee from the in room coffee machine. The room and facility are a little tired. The hallways could use a fresh coat of paint. Staff were very friendly, informative and...

Great location. Major attractions are all in walking distance. Room was good, but no views. Again we were plagued by visitors who left doors open and were loud all night. Seems to be a group booking hotel. Did not make use of restaurants or facilities as there are too many better choices in the city. Would stay again. As always,...

Very good downtown location, rooms getting dated, interiors no different since last visit in 2012. Would consider coming back if rooms upgraded. Exercise room also needs upgrading. Restaurant not busy, too many choices around?

A friend and I travelled to Toronto fro the Grey Cup. This hotel is close to downtown and walking distance to Air Canada Centre, Sky Dome, CN Tower, Hockey Hall of Fame. Great spot for sports enthusiasts'. It is located on a quiet side street. Older hotel but upgraded. Midrange quality.

Arrived at hotel on Saturday (Nov 2016) for what was to be a two-night stay. After getting checked in and then seeing our room, we decided that for nearly $300 per night we'd like something that did not feel like a room in the attic. Hotel refused to move us to a nicer room - there are some as we...

In Toronto to see TSO play at the ACC, a great concert. Novotel Hotel is in a location, a 7 minute walk to ACC. WE were disappointed with the room, the bed wasn't fully made. This was a head shaker, our experience staying at Novotel for this reason was tarnish.

We thank you Novotel staff for taking care of our concern with the mattress. My boyfriend doesn't do well with firm mattresses as either I for when it's too firm my hip feels it. My boyfriend takes this concern to the front desk and by the time we came back from our day there was a new pillow top mattress...

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
