Great time, perfect location. VERY quiet room. Breakfast was really good, best home fries ever!!! Staff was very attentive and helpful. We requested a small fridge on check in for the Children's milk/juices....it arrived within 5 minutes and was already chilled. Perfect walking distance with toddlers to Ripley's, ACC, The Old Spaghetti Factory. The trundle bed worked out amazing well...

First time staying at this hotel. I recall when it was built many years ago but it has been kept up with the times. Speedy check in and out. Front desk staff very pleasant and helpful. Simple rooms but comfortable and spacious. Clean and housekeeping staff there if you wanted a quick clean and straighten up. Pool area clean with...

This hotel is in a central location- within walking distance of Union Station and the CN tower. Opposite the hotel there are plenty of restaurants, including an excellent Spaghetti Factory . In addition, the hotel offers everything you need : complimentary wifi, a decent breakfast buffet, irons in the rooms and an in-room safe.

I love the Novotel on the Esplanade in Toronto. Just a short walk to the historic St. Lawrence Market, voted Best food Market in the world by National Geographic three times. The Novotel has a wonderful dining room over looking the Esplanade where you can truly relax, people watch pedestrians and enjoy the best Breakfast Buffet! This is my favorite...

Negative: - needs to be refurnished. - old fashioned style of bedrooms and bathes - Ikea Style furniture but over 10 years old - plastic bathing tube, ugly tiles. - no shower kit, less shampoo etc. - english breakfast of low quality. Less to choose. Small selection of cheese. No roles. No smoothies. Notthing special for easter holidays - wanted...

Had a great 6 night break in Toronto. The hotel is perfectly placed for getting around. The staff were extremely helpful. The breakfast was lovely with a wide choice of food and drink available. Our family room was clean, comfortable and spacious.

Hi Recently returned from a weekend in Toronto and Ottawa. For our first two nights, we stayed at the Novotel in Toronto on the Esplanade. It's in an ideal location being close to all the major downtown attractions including Union Station, St Lawrence Market, Hockey Hall of Fame and the Air Canada Center to name a few. The staff are...

Stayed at a few Novotel and am disappointed with this one. Yes the rooms are fine and big enough as usual and the beds comfortable. However this is the first time I have come across a Novotel or any other Hotel in this class where the Cafe/restaurant closes at 10pm and there is no room service available after that time....

We stayed for 3 nights and were very impressed. Although the rooms were dated, they were well equipped and spotlessly clean. Bed was huge and so comfortable and good tea/coffee making facilities. We had the buffet breakfast once and found it to be reasonably priced with plently of choice and friendly staff. We so enjoyed the pool and hot tub...

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
