I was in town for a business meeting and was looking for a quiet place to sleep near where my meetings were held. This fit the bill perfectly. Walking distance to Queen's Park, quiet and reasonable price. I had a room in the basement which...More
We chose this hotel specifically because it has parking, had a parking spot available for the night we were staying. Two of the four people in our party have mobility issues and can't walk far so this seemed like an ideal solution. When we arrived...More

This place is what it says it is. Yes it is older, the Manor house title says that. Don't expect chain hotel type rooms. The rooms have period furniture, comfortable beds and modern bathrooms. Other reviews say the place is noisy but we heard nothing...More

This hotel was just adequate, although the staff, specifically Connie, was exceptional. We mistakenly arrived a day early and she went out of her way to make sure we had a room.

Midtown is a dynamic part of Toronto with some of its most stylish high-rise residences and heritage buildings. The area sees busy shoppers with bag-laden arms balancing lattes in paper cups as they travel from one luxury brand to the next, taking advantage of the proximity of high-end shops. The reflecting pools, jogging trails, and nature treks of the Rosehill Revision are always a hub of outdoor activity, and
after a workout from either running or splurging, many take advantage of the spas and massage parlors Midtown has to offer. Away from the bakeries, boutiques, and glamorous old theaters of the district's center, locals use the weekend to embrace the more suburban feel of Midtown's parks, tennis courts, outdoor markets, and the manicured grounds of Casa Loma, while families indulge the area's state-of-the-art playground and learning facilities. Of course, no high-brow district is complete without a healthy counter-culture: Midtown boasts some of the wildest street art and full-wall graffiti of any neighborhood in Toronto.
Mine did. I'm pretty sure all the rooms are ensuite. I own a 200 year-old Inn in Cornwall and put ensuites in all my rooms. Not sure that you could rent a room with facilities down the hall in North America......

Cannot be 100% sure as we stayed here on holiday and used public transport. The car park at the front on the pub is well lite and is full view of the road so my assumption would be it won't lend itself to being broken into "out of sight". On the opposite side of the pub is the hotel side and this is residential parking. This is in a nice street which again would appear safe from burglars or vandals. I would suspect vandalism more a concern than break-ins from the over-consumption of alcohol.
We were only there for three days but did not see any criminal activity.
