I do not believe that one can find a better value for the suite I've had now at the King Edward for five nights. The suite is in fact more similar to a one-bedroom apartment with an ample bedroom, living room space and a modern bathroom. Service is at all levels from concierge to room service of the highest, most...

Had an amazing stay at the Omni King Edward Hotel. The staff were amazing (Definitely ask for Emma at the front desk. She is god sent!) and the Royal Club Lounge was a great feature. Highly recommend if you are looking for an out of body service experience, where guest matter!!!

Stayed at this hotel for a conference. It is a beautiful hotel and well maintained. I was able to check in early, without any trouble, which was nice because the hotel I stayed at prior to this stay, asked for a $30 early registration fee. The entire staff greeted me, from the gentleman at the front door, to the bellman,...

I highly recommend staying at this hotel. It's hard to believe it is over 100 years old. The maintenance is excellent and amenities meet all those needed in today's world. I had stayed in a newer hotel just before that was also nice, but the history and character of this one beat out my experience of the more contemporary hotel...

Great location( walking distance to many attractions, 2 min metro station, 10 min walk to Union Station where train takes to directly to airport, many buses and trams ), many restaurants around, our room was super spacious with great bathroom, free Wifi and very comfortable bed. Stayed for a long weekend with my husband and will definitely be returning back

Clean hotel. Comfortable. Beautiful lobby, EXCELLENT STAFF very accommodating. The location was great. A few blocks from St. Lawrence Market, 15-20 minute walk from harbor center. Restaurants are up and down King Street. I did a lot of walking but I don't mind. Kind of fit twenty something, planned on going on my own but brought my mother (64) along...

For our special wedding anniversary recently we had a week-end in Toronto. The King Edward is the perfect base for visiting the downtown and offers every comfort as described in the many reviews. Charming Anastasia, at reception, made us most welcome and added some perks to our stay to make it extra special. All of the staff were attentive. On a...

nice attention to detail. We stayed for both business and pleasure. Celebrated our anniversary and had a great time. The chocolate strawberries were a very nice thought! The loyalty program provided an excellent rate. The location in Toronto allows access to everything without a car.

Good experience generally speaking. Great staff, great service. My only minor deception: some of the staff do not appreciate piano players it seems though and invent stories for people to stop playing ("we received of couple of calls", but front desk said otherwise when I double checked with them). Great stay, nonetheless

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
