I stayed here for one night while travelling on business. First time at this hotel and I'd stay again. It is convenient for walking to the financial district and is also a short walk from the Eaton Centre, subway and restaurants, coffee shops. My room was very quiet - heard no noise from other rooms. The room was on the...

Booked a family of 4 here via Hotwire. Excellent location... just steps from the subway and a few minutes from Eaton Centre. Service was very good too. At check in the front desk attendant took a few extra minutes to get my 8 year old daughter her own special key. The room itself was just OK - again, for a...

Ok so, I get that hotels don't like having wild parties and stuff but when you are in your 30s and then given multiple lectures about not staying up late or having "visitors" when you check it seems a little creepy. Couple that with arriving back from a wedding at midnight and having to prove to the doorman that you...

We travel a lot and my son is always the one who sleeps at the sofa bed, and as he said, this "is the best sofa bed, ever!" Please let the others hotels know about it!! Of course, location is great, the size of the room is amazing, is wonderful to have a coffe machine inside the room, the views...

My sister and I had tickets to a show at the Ed Mirvish Theatre and really lucked out when we found this hotel. It is an easy 5-minute walk down the street. It is also super close to the Eaton Centre and all the shops and restaurants on Queen. We discovered a municipal parking garage kitty-corner to the hotel that...

Great location, and priced below other "4" star Toronto hotels. Suites are well appointed but dated. Not a fan of carpets in rooms any longer. Again, staff are amazing, parking is easy, can walk anywhere easily. But you will feel as if you are in a dated hotel. Hot tub on top floor is very clean and has an amazing...

We stayed at Cambridge this past week for three nights. We arrived at Noon and were told a room was ready - which was great since check-in isn't normally until 4PM. I was so relieved I didn't decide to pay an extra $79 for early check in (which was ridiculous). The staff that checked us in were extremely friendly and...

We booked an Executive Suite. It's the second time we've stayed at this hotel. The rooms are spacious, clean and well-appointed.After our first night there, our bathroom wreaked of mold. I went to the front desk and told them about the situation, they took immediate action. The woman at the desk brought me up to another room to ensure the...

I was very pleased that this hotel was recommended to me as I typically stay closer to downtown. I was happy that in the immediate area there were plenty of options for dining and shopping within a short distance. It was also easy to catch an Uber although most have a hard time with the address despite a large sign...

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
